beehappy: Here's hoping it includes the ability to turn off smart manager notifications, I like the battery optimization as it nearly double's my battery life but I don't want to be told about it every day!!

Hi guys.
I am looking at getting a S6 32gb. I just had a couple of questions that I hope someone can answer.

1. The 2degrees models seems to be cheapest, would there be any issues with me using this on Spark?
2. I would be moving from a iPhone 5s, has anyone had experience moving from iOS to Samsung?
3. Is the camera quality better than the 5s?

Cheers and Merry Christmas everyone!

Have you seen that Noel Leeming have the S6 for $649 until the 29th Dec.

And if you are an ANZ customer you can get a Samsung store voucher for $200 when you buy an S6...

Hi everyone,

How your Galaxy S6 been doing?  Is anyone here having reception issues?

I bought my S6 in May last year from Spark.  As soon as I got it I noticed dropping calls and regularly got missed call messages.  I made quite number of calls to Spark and Samsung and did everything they suggested, nothing helped.  I had to send it to Samsung authorized service centre, but came back as they could not replicate the issue.  The reception issue on S6 persisted whereas my wife's Note 3 has never had any reception issue (My wife's Note 3 mostly gets full bars)

I sensed that somehow S6 was not handling slightly weak signal well and bought and installed mobile signal booster with help of a antenna installer.  It worked.  I had full 4 bars and never had dropped calls nor received missed call messages for about 6 months up until the power unit of mobile signal booster defaulted about 10 days ago.  The power unit had been in the ceiling space as suggested and current hot weather may have caused the power unit default.

As soon as the power unit for the signal booster defaulted, I started getting dropping calls and missed call messages. (Actually dropping calls and missed call messages were first noticed then checked the power unit)  This time I would not want to spend any money on it just to make it workable.  I sent my S6 to the service centre again.  They said today that my S6 passed all the test and have nothing wrong with it and Samsung is reluctant to provide any alternative solution.

I researched a bit on internet and there are quite large number of same/similar issues in Android Central forum and Xda Forum.

Is anyone having this issue?  What would you suggest me going forward?  My preferred option is to get a refund and buy a smartphone (maybe iPhone?) that would not have this issue.  But I highly doubt that Samsung would refund me.

John
