VodafoneNZ approved 5.1.1 about 2 weeks ago so now over to Samsung Korea to push out when they are ready and not sure what changes you are expecting, Only a few changes between 5.02 to 5.1.1

Search the net for the first carrier S6 to get 5.1.1, add 3 months and you may be in the ballpark. But add another 3 months just to be safe.
Until the S7 is released the S6 should get priority from Samsung at least. The carriers maybe not so much. The Note5 will launch with 5.1.1 and that is August/September.

Is there something wrong with your S6 that having 5.1.1 will fix? I'm pretty happy with mine at the moment. In fact my experience with Android in the past is you don't want to be on the bleeding edge of updates as they tend to be a bit of a beta test.

Edit: I see JohnR jumped in with some real data while I was composing. Thanks John.

you have got it yet because it hasn't been released.

if it's life or death that you have the latest then flash on of the S6 firmwares from Sammobile .

To be honest there isn't much in the update to get upset over normal delays.

Thank you for answering my question. The problem I have is that Chrome doesn’t stay loaded in memory even if I open a single app and then switch back to Chrome and my 91% of ram usage all the time. System is taking 1.2G of RAM.

Has Samsung advised RAM usage will change after update?

johnr: Has Samsung advised RAM usage will change after update?

Samsung has not mentioned it but forum users in Korea who have updated their S6 to 5.1.1 said that before 5.1.1 update, memory usage always stayed over 75% but after the 5.1.1 update memory only takes between 50%to65%

What applications do you have running in the background? the reason why I ask is that I'm having a look the memory usage on my HTC One M9 and I have 2.1GB free RAM (3GB total memory).

Laptop: MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)
Desktop: iMac (27-inch, 2017)
Smartphone: iPhone XS Max 256GB 'Space Grey'
Additional devices: Unifi Security Gateway, Unifi Switch, Unifi AP AC HD, Unifi Cloud Key, Apple Watch 4 44mm
Services: YouTube Premium, Wordpress, Skinny Mobile and Broadband

Whatsapp, Wechat, Snapchat, Vibre, Opera,Light flow, Messenger, go keyboard, nova launcher

The phone becomes laggy after a so I have to use a ram freeing application to free the ram.

However the mobile is faster than Kitkat.

Having a lot of ram is useful but apps not freeing the ram is an issue.

It doesn't use 3GB of course but even with 500MB the mobile feels a bit laggy
