I can only find a stock rom that refers to New Zealand (vodafone)
I'm on 2degrees, does the reference of vodafone mean it won't work on other carriers?
I can find an international download but its for the n7100, not n7105

I re-flashed my old Note 2 with the Vodafone stock rom and it worked fine on 2Degrees. You can always take a backup with something like Titanium Backup and if there are issues import the modem firmware etc.

I would be guessing here that when the n7105 was released NZC (2degrees) were not even around (or maybe just)

I have a n7105 running a VFNZ stock Rom on 2deg no issues it even asks you if you would like to use your account to purchase from the play store cool

thanks alot for the replies. want to cover all bases so i don't brick me phone and its disconcerting reading a specific carrier. Especially when the american carriers are always mentioned (at&t and verizon etc).

There were three different models of the Note II ranged in NZ.

N7100 3G-only: 2degrees
N7100T 3G-only: Telecom
N7105 4G: Vodafone NZ

If you want local market software for the N7105, the VFNZ variant is the only one that exists.

There's no SIM lock or anything silly, and customisations are always minimal for Vodafone NZ handsets. It will work fine on 2d with the VFNZ software.
