ramboky: @Kopkiwi Try the "Nexus Root Toolkit", I've used it on multiple Nexus' over the years and it's always worked great. No need to muck around getting the Android SDK installed.

Actually ended up trading it in for a note 5.

interesting trade, any thoughts, thus far, on the 2

The note 5 is amazing. Installed venom ROM and the thing just flies. Zero lag and with spacex kernel the battery life is fantastic.

The s-pen features are superb. As much as I enjoyed the nexus 6p, the note 5 is another step up.

another step up, but two steps down courtesy of touch wizz! Occassionally I have a play on my partner's S6 just to remind myself just how horrible it is. I'll take pure android any day over touch wizz, even if it means dispensing with the s-pen.

I think of people who moan about touch wiz really have no idea what do they actually means!

I dunno - it's pretty easy to note just how sluggish Touchwiz makes the system UI, it certainly has improved drastically (I didn't even need to flash a new rom to my S5, because I stopped using it once Lolipop came out!) until you upgrade from to the next latest software revision. The biggest problem with Samsung's design ethos is that they'll throw features and see what sticks, but the features aren't well optimized at the best of times. With that said, the S-Pen software is really well done from what I've seen, and it surprises me all the time that no one has made anything comparable for non-Samsung devices.

Anything I say is the ramblings of an ill informed, opinionated so-and-so, and not representative of any of my past, present or future employers, and is also probably best disregarded.

No lag on the note 5 with touchwiz but I freeze it after rooting and install nova immediatel anyway. Custom rom keeps all the s-pen features. Vanilla Android is just... Boring and defeats the purpose of Android for me.

Does anybody else play the game "Injustice"? Have you noticed any lag/drops in frames?

Sometimes when i'm playing it will drop some frames, making it somewhat unplayable. I have noticed this with a few other apps also. Unsure if the apps just aren't optimized for the 6P yet, or if the phone just doesn't like them for whatever reason.

I get the occasional stutter when I've been playing Pocket Mordys long enough to make the phone hot.

Has anyone had any dealings with 2D returning a 6P for bending.

Mine is pretty badly bent at the buttons.

No dealings here sorry, but that sucks. Am interested to know how you bent though?... Kept mine in my front pocket since day one and it hasn't bent....

My phone is slow when hot too, I have a thick case and wonder if it's making it worse.

I would also like to know. I've only put mine in my front pocket I always make sure its the only thing in that pocket. I don't wear right pants. I got mine as part of the geekzone offer so had it since day one. I have had a spigen case on it for most of that time.

I like to think that I'm kind to my devices as I had my iPhone 4 for 3-4 years and very rarely had a case on it and had no damage. I also never had a case in my HTC One M7, also caseless, and the only damage was when it slipped out of my pocket once getting out of the car.

I went into the 2D kiosk in the Palm's today as I'm on holiday. At first he tried to day it was my tempered glass screen protector that caused it. I was then able to show him that the bezel is distorted and popped out in a few places. He said to see my local store when I get home and he would think it would warrant a replacement. I did tell him that Google have acknowledged the problem and are replacing handsets bought direct from them.

My current "patch Level" is 1 January but I am sure I did not get it until about the 10th.

I really hope Android 6.1 comes sooner than later, there are so many bugs in 6.0.1, especially with Google now.
