geocom:

Has anyone else been having issues with Android N where wifi is totally unreliable to the point where it is about 95% of the time disconnected.

It shows that it connects to it but then says no connection then just drops the connection. Happening with multiple access points and different connections. But as I say sometimes it connects and appears to be connected just fine but most of the time it is not.

Not here. Rock solid connection on N. On M I would have been getting disconnected probably 90-95% of the time so kind of the opposite to your experience.

Got my 7.1.1 update last week. No issues - everything seems to be rock solid.

Just as a little update on accessories, I recently purchased an i-Blason dual layer case which doesn't really add a great deal of bulk to the phone and looks quite industrial. Has a very handy kickstand incorporated into the design and comes with a belt holster. Absolutely perfect fit - http://www.i-blason.com/nexus-6p-prime-dual-layer-holster-case-with-kickstand.html

Due to the windscreen mount I had in my car being one which clamps from the sides, thus either interfering with the buttons or having the phone placed in an unstable position, I purchased a new holder from Arkon. Heavy duty design, clamps top to bottom and holds the phone super steady. Only drawback is you can't access the fingerprint reader on the back. Not an issue for me as I have my bluetooth car stereo set as a trusted device so the phone can be accessed with a push of the power button and swipe of the screen - http://www.arkon.com/product/RM60802T-iphone-windshield-suction-mount-holder.html

I had both items shipped via Youshop due to ridiculous shipping pricing on both websites.

What settings do I need to change for MMS to work?

Geekzone and Spark saying a bit different so not sure which one. It looks like the phone has most of the details in, just not sending the MMS in trying to send.

Not sure if it is my laptop or 6P/USB C Cable that is dying.

Plugged my USB-C - USB cable (The one that came with the phone) into my laptop and the phone wont appear on my laptop. On my phone I can select to charge, transfer files etc, but I cant transfer the files. Anyway to test this (On the phone) without another USB-C cable? Try on a different PC I guess?

Just plugged in my External HD, just a normal USB cable, but it worked fine. So its either the phone, cable or my aptop doesn't like USB-C cables. Any ideas?

Thanks

I bought two extra (identical) cables from Ali Express.

One works fine but the other, when plugged in my laptop, does not even get detected (it does not bring up the notification "USB charging this device" even though it does charge and the battery icon shows charging.

I now have it labelled "Charge Only" and keep it in my glove box.

I take it something Like this on Trade ME is fine?

Not sure if its too powerful/not enough juice?  3 metres though so a bit overkill for me.

Thanks!

You really want to make sure that any USB C to A cable you buy has been tested and approved by Benson Leung https://plus.google.com/+BensonLeung. Benson is a Google employee who has taken upon himself the mission to out USB-C cables that don't comply with the specification. Many cheap USB-C cables allow fast charging by omitting the 56k Ohm pullup. The main issue with non-compliant cables is that they don't tell your phone that there is a legacy Type A on the other end and your phone will try to draw 3+ Amps, which may be more than your charger or computer USB port can handle resulting in damage.

If you do a search there are plenty of pages listing the "good" cables that Benson has tested. Also many listed on Amazon (and sometimes eBay) will have a Benson review down below (at least all the good ones). I ended up buying a bunch of cables from Monoprice in the States. Their cable pricing is really sharp for good quality units, but the shipping is a bit prohibitive. Buying a bunch of them and shipping via YouShop I managed to get them landed for a reasonable price each.
