So im looking to update my Acer 510 I'd love to install a newer version of android or something.I've heard about cyanogen etc
Would love to get your guys opinions on what you would install to get this tablet running nicely

So this is actually running 3.0
Can anybody help me in updating to at least 4.0

I used to have an Acer and flashed away to my hearts content.

Try XDA or Acer Tablet forum which has a lot of help

Ive spent a few hours trying to figure it all out on the xda forums.Can you help me with just getting out of the horrible os that is 3.0.1?
It says i need a bootloader unlock tool,and need to root my tablet and then find a rom?Its all a bit much for me i just need someone whos done it to give me clear instructions

been a while since I flashed one of these so will read up on it. I use acer tablet forum but its a bit messy there

try one click root see if it works then you just need to flash a custom recovery and find a rom, seems to be a few on XDA.
