Anyone else been following this phone?

It is a seriously good looking bit of kit and is really tempting me and my empty wallet sorely. Luckily the pre-order is closed so I don't have to work out how to sell a kidney.

Looks like it may be one of the kickstarter success stories unlike some of the other recent failures like the Saygus V2 and Ubuntu phone. It is also led by some of the really serious Android innovators. I really want it to succeed as my unwavering faith in Microsoft delivering Windows 10 is starting to get a little bit shaky. This is the first phone in a while that has really interested me.

Yep I've been following it. Looks like a pretty and unique phone.

Would be interested in purchasing if reviews are positive but I'm not a backer so I'd have to wait.

Google photos has similar functionality, it backs up photos into the cloud, and if you are low on storage, it offers to remove them from the device

My only concern is, it's yet another entity with all of your data sitting on their servers.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

If you're concerned about that, you can turn the cloud sync off.

Personally, I don't care much about their cloud features either - the reason I bought the Robin was because of the specs. :)

Also, it's supposedly quite root friendly (doesn't void the warranty) - can't wait to ditch the stock ROM and load something like CyanogenMod the first chance I get.
