Hi All,

So I'm fed up with my Samsung S5 mini waking up in my pocket and draining the battery. Its a well-known problem and google turns up several ways of fixing it, and I've been trying the ones that will suit me:

Buy a flip case - no thanks

Use the Slidelock app  - doesn't work on Samsung.

Root the phone, mount as R/W, edit the keyboard file. Followed the instructions carefully. The home AND power buttons stopped working completely. Felt very hot all of a sudden (me, not the phone!). Undid it. Not touching that again. No. Siree.

The next thing to try is wanam xposed. But apparently I need the xposed framework, which isn't on playstore any more.

Where can I download it?

Is there anything else I need to know?

Follow a tutorial for your phone!

Some samsung roms don't play nice. And will boot loop your phone.

Make sure you have a backup and know how to restore it and give it a go

Look on xda... Kinda questioning your ability to do it if a google of xposed and your phone model didn't work...

google xposed framework xda

its part of XDA developers as google bans rooting and things that give people full control

over their own product :)

you will first need to root the device.. depending on firmware patch.. framaroot 1.9 apk worked

on mums galaxy note 10.1 but often I had to use a cable and pc win soft to root

then a product like supersume to remove the chinese non standard superuser

google tag DO NO EVIL

if only..

I'm all rooted up thanks.

I've been having a good look at xda, and I can find lots of chat about it, but nothing to download.

just check which framework is compatiable. 5+ android still working on and experimental I know

some warn about bricking and lock ups at boot and making recovery.. Ive never played with or learnt

roms and recovery myself all worked fine for my android 4 to 4.4 devices I have like smartwatchs zygpax

latest is framework 2.7 by looks but you can get older ones.. I would search xda with framework and your device model and check what people say if any problems and what build to use to be safe
