Mauricio, I fully concur. I am a great advocate of Whatsapp and/or Viber for messaging period. That includes images. I wouldn't even raise the issue, but as the recipient I'd expect it to work. And that's where my complaint arises.

And it's not a age mind set either, my mother-in-law would be lost without her Whatsapp and Skype and she turned 80 last week!!! Her Android phone and iPads are the first computers she's ever worked on.

On my wife's Note 2 I had to use Go Pro SMS to get MMS to work.   She gets one MMS every couple of months ans all the family use WhatsApp..

Just looked at the difference between the m3s and m3 Note - seems like there hardly is anything! Which surprised me - recently bought an m3s for the wife for christmas and seem to recall the note being more expensive. Had a couple of issues with the m3s - but i'll start another thread.

M3 Note has a faster processor, bigger 1080p screen vs. smaller 720p screen, and an accordingly bigger battery, but otherwise there's not much between 'em. Meizu are pretty good at keeping things consistent across their range.

Faster processor - that would make sense. I read a comparison online via some website i've never heard of and it listed the processors as the same. Now if only i could find the website again...

M3s has the Mediatek MT6750. M3 Note has the Mediatek Helio P10 (MT6755).

M5 Note is a thing, but it's basically the same as M3 Note in a different box. Better screen, fast charging, ships with Marshmallow, and does have the really nice super-solid all-metal design from the M3 Max though. It'll likely be coming eventually as a straight switch-out once M3 Note is EOL.

Just popping in to say I did the most recent update that @Nik linked to (but not beta) and had no problems with doing the update, and no problems since then.

Was it just a "tidy up the issues" update or were there cool things I should be looking for Nik?

<- don't ask me where I am - I haven't a clue: its a tech thing ;)
Housewife computerer: not particularly great at either.
And don't take me too seriously.

Any confirmed news about the camera?

EOL = end of life. M5 Note comes along when we can't get any more M3 Notes, because I don't feel it's a meaningful upgrade until they change the processor. :)

I might just pick up a 3s and get the new note if and when it appears.

No problems with bluetooth and pairing with my cars audio (no problem from the stereo side, I mean the phone)?

Watch this space - M5 Note might be a minor upgrade, but we've got something pretty cool in the works for the near future. Much higher spec for a reasonable price.

New update for M3 Note - 5.1.12.0G

This'll be the last Flyme 5 update before Flyme 6 hits. Same procedure as usual to upgrade - download the file to the phone (Or to PC and transfer to phone over USB), open the stock Files app, find the update.zip and tap it to upgrade.

Changelog:

Email
·Fixed failure to view the content of certain messages

I'm still having issues with this on 5.1.12.0G
