I guess this is an excuse not to update the M3 Note to Marshmallow or Nougat

Yes its a shame that the Mi5 doesnt have 28/700. But to be honest I rarely need mobile broadband, especially considering the prices in NZ. Quite happy with 3G just to get emails when travelling outside of NZ, i mean Auckland ;-p

But lets hope anyway the Mi6 gets 28 LTE for those that do care, as its the fastest performer in its price bracket in CPU and GPU and a superior camera with 2160p, 720p at 120FPS and OIS and 4 AXIS Ibis, well it may be better, thats the Mi5

A bit like Chrysler AU  dropping the VD Valiant and going from VC to VE models.

This 1440p Le Max 2 seems a good buy. But again its missing an LTE for NZ, the main one, 1800, but it does have 700. $270ish + postage.

1440p Le Max 2 at Aliexpress

Still Im waiting for Mi6 with a 1440p screen on a 5.15" Screen and all its camera trickery, I think its the first real flagship killer.

570ppi screen with gorilla cornering and 3d touch, Snapdragon 835 & ADRENO 540 (wicked), 4k at 60fps AND 1080p at 120fps (mmmm 1080 slow mo conversion). Only downer is still no card slot, oh well thats what the clouds are for ;-p.

Would like to see Meizu keep up as they do come with more full network support here. Still for me, Im not fussed about only having 3g in a few towns I might visit on holiday as long as the big cities are covered plus I rarely use mobile broadband.

Latest Meizu vs Google Play weirdness: 963 error code when trying to install an app (Wattpad)

Haven't had it before- the error code

Any tips apart from clearing Play Store cache, Forced stop, Restart etc? Done all those already

Thanks in advance

(Tagging @NikT just in case)

Yup, but I tried unmounting it, restarting the phone and installing the app but still got the same result :(

I guess I could reset the phone but was hoping to not go there with all it's "reinstall every app" palaver

Should be able to uninstall & reinstall Google Services from the Google Services Installer, which would have the same effect. Will just need to log back into your Google account afterwards. It'll take a little bit to settle down after doing that. If it's the one specific app that's causing trouble it may be incompatible somehow.

EDIT: Works fine on my test unit running Flyme 6. Here's the APK so you can sideload it. Should link to the Play Store after installation so it can update as normal.

Ok, Google Services has uninstalled and has now reinstalled Google Framework (tools icon) and Google Service (headset icon)

Now at the usual 82% progress: waiting for Play Store (shopping trolley icon) and Google Maps (placemark icon)

Let it try the install of the rest of the pack for an hour or so, but it wouldn't complete, or even change progress.

Exited, closed everything, cold booted the phone.

Launched Google Services, which showed the first two installed and just the names of the other two. Chose Repair rather than Uninstall.

IT WORKED - well the installation of Play Store and Maps did.

Wattpad still won't install from Play Store so am about to use the APK file.

Thanks

EDIT: Installed Wattpad from the APK file, working fine

Flyme 6 Global is currently in closed beta. Flyme 6 for China is readily available, but well, it's for China, and is full of China-only stuff. Worth a tinker if you don't mind flashing back and wiping data. Global builds are available at flymeos.com, Chinese builds are available at flyme.cn.
