Interesting Fact - M3s survives a full washing machine cycle...

It went for a swim with the cloths the other day - started turned on too.

Been quite impressed with the radios of my Wife's  Note 2 .  Where we have moved to the cell coverage is marginal with all carriers.   We are both on Spark and  depending where in the house you are I normally get no bars to 4 bars on my Moto G4.  Her Note 2 always gets 2 ~ 5 bars.

Maybe you think I'm mad, but my main worry about the Meizu M3 Note, and all Meizu phones in general, is:

Why is that only PB Tech (and maybe a few other online retailers like Mighty Ape) seems to be the only retailer to stock Meizu???? No sign of Meizu in either Harvey Norman or Noel Leeming. Is there some sinister reason why the 'mainstream' stores don't stock it? If I could set my mind at rest on this point, the M3 Note sounds like a great buy.

Ha! That's because PB has the distribution contract for Meizu and we choose not to sell them to major competitors. :)

Good to know although I don't think I'll purposely try it with my M3S. laughing

Have come back from overseas (China). Turned off google sync, as polling for a blocked site was draining mobile data. Now we are back cannot see google contacts, gmail is good, google calendar is good. Just contacts are not showing . If I log into google on a pc I can see the contacts, so they are still there.

What have I missed? Bound to be something simply stupid.

Any help appreciated.

If they make a global version, I don't see why not - and who says we won't be getting Mi6? ;)

Have checked settings>other account>*****@gmail.com>Contacts. Definitely checked and last synced 03/01/2017 at 18.32.

Also in dialer app, Contacts>Groups>All google contacts (for required gmail account) is selected.

I can make a new contact, and save it to google (default account). And it displays.

As a work around have exported vcard file from google. And imported to "local" on phone.

This has me stumped

Using build 5.1.12.0G

Go to Google Play, search 'Google contacts'. Download and install the app by Google. See what happens. You'll find an app using the same search words called sync fix. Try that. If all fail. Delete your Google account from your phone and then add it ( sign back in). Good luck.

I was given one of these phones while my S7 Edge is in for repair..

Other than a few features I don't like.. it's a really good phone..

Handles all the apps I need and use, it's simple and user friendly..

When I'm going through the tunnels on the train.. seems to still stream music and no stopping.. S7 Edge doesn't do that..

If you don't have the money to buy a premium device then this is for you..

Hey if you get the Mi6 ill be in :-)

I dont think it will have the rural LTE band though, seems typical with a lot of Xiaomi handsets. Personally it doesnt worry me as I rarely use Mobile broadband and in rural areas just to receive email 3G is fine by me. Its not like you can get affordable mobile broadband plans in NZ yet to watch the likes of Netflix. I find its really only useful for short watsapp or viber calls and email etc.
