I have after noise cancelling headphones for use with Android devices.

I want stereo headphones, not earphones and with a microphone. Budget upto $200 unless compelling reason to spend more. I do not want Beats or other way overpriced 'fad' brands.

Looking through the PB Tech website I have come up with these models:

Creative Aurvana ANC Noise-canceling Headphones, with Microphone, Lightweight, Foldable , up to 40 hours of continuous playback with ANC turned on

Sennheiser HD461G

Creative Aurvana Live 2 Headset with 40mm Drivers and In-Line Mic (Black), Precise 40mm Neodymium magnet drivers with Bio-Cellulose diaphragms

Only the HD461G is explicitly stated as being suitable for Android devices. The Creative has the right 4 pole 3.5" plug so is this all that's needed to work with Android?

Feedback on the above? Any other suggestions?

Also - is noise cancelling always active (requires batteries)?

I use the Blackbox C20's with my mobile devices. They're easy to carry around, comfortable to wear and are noise cancelling. They still work if the battery goes flat or the noise cancelling is turned off. Online

I think the only way to buy them in New Zealand is off their website.

I highly recommend them.
