I haven't been offered the update yet either. Trying to force the issue via the three dot method just now.

If I could have I would have. It would appear that the update is not yet officially available for my 2degrees Mate 9 purchased from Harvey Norman.

EDIT: If anyone else is still waiting to for it to be available, this is the method below:

Currently downloading although a bit slow due to the use of a proxy.

it seems they dont release it to everyone at the same time, as the last update it took my phone 4 days more than my wifes to be offered it.

i still havent been offered it.

been using the dual sim at the moment and its been pretty good and straight forward which is nice.

My attempt to bypass the wait failed. I managed to download the update but could not flash it. I'm guessing they check the your imei is qualified first.

Got the update today. Not too bad of a wait I guess.

How is everyone liking the Mate9? Have Huawei made improvements on their EMUI? Is it bearable than Samsung Touchwiz?

The lockscreen notifications are a bit glitchy as in you can't respond to them without unlocking the phone. Other than that I'm really enjoying emui 5. Mate 9 just nails it for me really. It delivers in everything I want from a phone. Big, gorgeous screen, great battery life, performance, good amount of internal storage, nice loud speakers, decent camera, good reception as well.

There's other phones that will beat it in certain areas but it's still good in those. Can't go wrong with it at all in my opinion.

I put up with the TouchWiz lag on my s7e because I was used to it. Now moving the Mate 9 and not having any I don't think I could go back.

Don't let the reviews fool you, spend some time learning the camera and it'll go toe to toe with any of them. The battery is insane and the screen is great for what it is.

Huawei announced with availability in March for NZ the P9 and P9 Plus. P9 Plus is similar specs to Mate 9 Pro with better camera but P9 Plus will be available in NZ. Will lookout for this model. Shame I wanted Mate 9 Pro but not available outside China.

Yeah. You need to turn off Google voice from any screen to fix that. Apparently the microphone can't be used by multiple apps at the same time.
