I had the same issue with my M2 and my husbands M3 phones. I downloaded the GMS installer from Hot Apps. This worked, giving access to the Play Store. Our Maps & Google Calendars worked fine. However on my husbands phone I have to repeat the process a few times since the Flyme update. He can't be bothered, just wants his phone to work. He is not impressed and won't use a Meizu again.

Does seem to have been a stupid idea from Meizu.

Thanx for that.  Will try it on her phone when I get home tonite.  This has put me off Meizu for ever.  Will go back to know brands with a good track record..

Thanx for that. It worked fine after several reboots and a repair of Maps. Still strange that Meizu would do an upgrade like this.

Glad to have helped.

You may want to look at this thread It seems Meizu have issued an update to fix the Play Store problem. I don't know what to do with the Google Drive link they are talking about but I've asked and will give it a go!
