Hello everyone,

I purchased the Vodafone Smart ultra 6 online from the Heathcotes' online store in January last year and all of a sudden in the last week or so I have run into some issues with the touch screen and home button.

I will be using the phone and it randomly acts like I'm tapping or holding down the home button and the launcher menu or Google Now pops up and disappears multiple times, very quickly. I also feel the vibration in the phone as if that key was being pressed many, many times all at once.  Sometimes for up to 2 minutes straight. After that none of the buttons respond for a good few minutes. I've restarted in the middle of these sessions by holding down the power button but when it boots back up it just continues vibrating and flashing screens.

This has only started recently and I cannot replicate it. I have googled and found a couple of recent posts which said it may be related to the signal and that disabling data or putting the phone into airplane mode stops it for a while but I haven't been able to try that yet.

There was a 12 months manufacturer's warranty on phone which has now expired. I know Vodafone have a 24 month warranty on handsets but not sure if it has to be purchased directly from a Vodafone store to apply. I wrote to Heathcotes this morning explaining the issue and will hopefully get a reply from them soon.

Just wondering if anyone in the forum have had this issue before?

Thanks for reading!

Had exactly the same issue. Brought it back to vodafone (where I bought it) and they replaced it with Smart Ultra 7 by warranty.

Thanks for the reply solival!

Still waiting to hear from Heathcote's but it's a relief to hear it's not an isolated issue.
