Won't bother with the pre-order. If they were offering the Gear Watch 3 I would have been all over it. BUt seems those are saved for the idiots up north.

Up North?

The black is "out of stock" on the PBTech pre-order sale for both versions now.

VF email arrived. Free 256 micro  and Neon. Tempted. Or wait for iPhone. Or wait for Note. Too much choice.

Ordered one for my partner on a 24 month plan. Vodafone offering $800 phone subsidy vs Spark's $600. 2 degrees no subsidy. Already have Spotify Premium (Family) and wouldn't watch Lightbox so an easy choice :)

Article in NZHerald which regurgitates what has already been published overseas. In fact it is from an Oz news source, so much so, that it quotes the prices as $1199 and $1249 (S8 S8+). Herald too lazy to even quote NZ prices. Maybe I'll ring them and ask where I can pick up the S8 at their quoted $100 discount?

You are lucky to get any real news out of the NZherald these days, most of it is copy and paste from other sites.

Or wait for the S9 or the iPhone XV. ;-)
It would be a shame to step off the consumer electronics conveyor, just because there is something better just around the corner. Think of the child workers in China getting paid $5/week you are supporting!

Good man :)  It's the wireless charger that I would be looking forward too.  I just wonder if it has the evil fan still in it like last years model.  I ended up turning it to normal speed charging as the fan would keep me away at night

Will the package deal that is being offered by Spark, 2 Degrees, Vodafone and PB Tech, is that only for pre-orders or will it be something that'll be still offered after they start shipping?

Such a altruistic act of charity should be considered a write off! :-)
