Hi, I'm pretty sure I'm in the right place...I think?

I have a Marshall London phone and love the clock on it. Is there a way that I can take the clock off of it and transplant it on another phone

Cheers Spice

You will need to root the phone, And look in the /system/app or /system/priv-app directories for an APK which you can then try to install on another phone

ES file explorer enables you to backup applications.

Then copy the backed up applications to the new phone. Install ES explorer onto new phone.

You need to change Android permissions to allow installation from unrecognized sources then reinstall the backed up apps.

I used this method to copy some apps from my HTC m7 to my HTC 10 in January.

A.

Hi, Thank's for the reply. I tried es file explorer but it wont let me see system files. I've installed total commander and can access the clock but don't seem to be able to take a copy of it.

As above, you will need to ensure you have rooted your phone. Try looking on XDA to see if they have any instructions for you. BE WARNED YOU MAY BRICK YOUR PHONE. So only attempt this if you are confident it what you are doing.

It's way to cool a phone to risk rooting it (pun definitely intended) but thank's anyway

An alternative could be to see if you could get a firmware of the phone and see if you can find it in there

You can extract apps - including system apps - with a handy little tool from the Play Store called APK Extractor.

There's no telling whether the app will work on another phone, however. System apps often depend on frameworks specific to the device or manufacturer's build, or rely on permissions that can't be granted to installed applications.
