She's with Spark. Can she use it here (4G) and will it work everywhere else?

According to yes it will work with Spark. You can use that site to check any phone and any network around the world.

I have had the 3S for a while and its been perfect in NZ and on my travels. I have been looking at the 4X but the lower priced 4A seems like it might be better value for me (or a wifey purchase)

It'll work on 3G but may not offer 4G in all areas (no band 28).

OK, as we don't spend a lot of time (if any at all) in the band 28 areas, I guess it doesn't really matter (and if we are there, she can still use 3G).

That page seems to be extremely out of date. This map is more accurate (band 28 is "4G 700").

Thanks. Still adequate cover. Besides, she's not a big data user, so 3G is fine, in rare cases.

Got a Redmi Note 4X for No1 son which is a bit bigger. If you're getting from overseas suggest you add a phone cover and screen protector, cause believe me, they don't bounce too well...(admittedly this applies to most phones)
