My Spark note 8 arrived about 8:30am this morning. Loving it so far.

Had to go back to my old note 4 after giving back the note 7 last year, so this is a nice upgrade.

Have the Black Alcantara case, Has a nice feel in hand. Still getting used to the rear finger print reader. But so far so good.

Need to go through and change the device name so it doesn't keep saying "Johns S5" on the front ha

I am not as opposed to that as you might think :) LOL

I might be overinvested in this device :)

Mine has arrived too with it's wireless charger and sd card. Longest day at work ever.
About to sit down and do the ritual unboxing.

Well impressed with 2degrees customer service

If you guys can post your results on the daily screen on time battery life that would be much appreciated. Its said that the device under practically any condition, brightness, resolution, load, reaches a minimum of 6hrs screen on time. Which is not benchmark grade but it surely dominates my note 4's capacity of 4hrs SOT average. If i can get 6hrs, im done.

PS. Whoever commented on their concerns of blood if they were to attempt prying the device from someone elses hands, its damn waterproof, i think a little blood is worth it for the steal. ;)

The Samsung supplied SD Cards ran out for the S8 release as well. Make sure you keep them honest as it was part of the launch promotion for the Note8.

Apologies in advance to those yet to receive their phones.
Having been an owner of every note since the second one and the n7 due to not being able to afford it at launch and when I could afford it the battery issue had surfaced.

All previous first impressions where positive but this one is something else altogether. Still in setup at this stage but gosh it feels sensational to hold (note 5 until today) it's a thing of beauty.

Really don't want to put any form of case on it, even a clear one.
Seems sacrilege to cover such a form factor win.

I'm not a big fingerprint scanner user so it's placement doesn't concern me at all.

Love the little touch of the earpiece being a slot without any border to draw the eye in. Flush camera's/heart rate monitor/finger print scanner is superbly finished.

The black is deeeep black No other colour option had a chance for me. Screen seems to go forever and probably stating the obvious but its eye watering. It's my first experience with an edge screen and im hooked thus far.

Longer charge cable is nice little plus out of the box too.

Will post more on software etc after a few days usage.

Does anybody have any positive news from PB tech? Talked with them today and looks like we are not getting pre-orders delivered on Friday as they do not want to ship them early. Also they were reluctant to arrange Saturday delivery. I assume I'll only get mine next week :(
