That's what I thought, but I don't get the same screen.  Here's my screenshot:

The rest of the screen just shows a selection of apps (for instance, no "Screen" app), a section called Unmonitored Apps, and one called Always Sleeping Apps.  No Battery Usage section, even under the Advanced Settings.

Haha, reminds me of that football ad with the referee "do you need some glasses mate". Classic.

MissyMoo: Awesome! I love that you can even customise your own led icons.

Love my case and the note8. Happy camper here

I have that case for the Galaxy S8+ but it does not function as a stand for that one.

All you have to do is turn it on its side and the front cover flips over to the back and tada.

Ah well yes; one of the S8 covers does that (no LED icons, called the Clear View Standing Cover) and the other (with LED icons, called the LED view cover) does not.

You can fudge the LED cover as a stand if you have something heavy to prevent it sliding flat on the surface you're resting on, but only one has a genuine stand capability.

I found two things you could do to save quite a bit power, learnt from my colleague but verified on my note 8:

1) turn off always on display

2) change your screen background to an black / dark image.

so with office hour usage battery life doubled.  hopefully someone finds its useful.

Yea that should help, people are actually applying black themes to extend this even further.

There is a free app called No Wallpaper (by Simplicity) which applies a simple black wallpaper. I've used this app for years.

Screenshot below = no wallpaper, with Action Launcher using Pixel theme.

What wireless chargers do people recommend for the Note 8?  I like the look of the official Samsung convertible wireless fast charger, but if I can get something similar for less than than the official $129 then that would be good.  Lots of different options on Aliexpress, but does anyone have a specific model/seller to recommend?

My universal advice for chargers is to purchase a proprietary brand that you recognise trust. A lot of the cheap wireless pads are very slow to charge.

Another battery saver is turning off all those extra's under advance, i.e. do you really need your phone to vibrate when you pick it up if you have the LED light going or always on display to show you have a notification?

Do you really need to save your hand over it to take a screen shot etc?

All of these are on be default.

I have encountered a problem with the Note 8 whilst using the earlier, 2016, official Samsung wireless charging pads (EP-NG930). These are the same size as the latest charging pad (EP-PG950) and available for less than $100. We have two of these and they worked well with the Note 7 and S7E.

But every time I tried to charge my new Note 8 on those chargers, the wireless charging would constantly start and then immediately pause in a cycle. This happened with both of the two chargers - case on/off, vertical/horizontal.

In desperation, I reluctantly purchased the newest convertible model (EP-PG950) and it works fine.

Hat's off to JB Hi-Fi. I spoke to the in-store Spark sales guy that I bought the phone off and he would not let me try the new Sammy charger, saying it might be a software issue. "Wait and see"!!! WTF??? Lazy pr*ck!

So popped downstairs to JB Hi-Fi and the sales guy there ripped the cover off one and bingo. Worked fine and handed over my card for $129.

Going back to JB tomorrow for another.

Had an awful experience with Vodafone customer service regarding my free 256gbmemory card.

All their phone support is from Phillipines or India. They are all USELESS. If they can't answer your question they will just transfer you onto another department and it will just keep going round in circles.

I got transferred from customer service to billings to sales to online sales to activation team to retention team and to cancellation team. I swear they are all in the same room. Wasted my lunch breaks waiting on hold, and wasted half my day off calling Vodafone.

They will lie to you, they say they will call you back or give you a text or email, but they never do.

When I preordered the note 8 over the phone as I received one of their spam phone calls enticing me to signup to their plans, they said they would sign me up onto this plan with extra 1gb, get a memory card and get $100 off, all okayed by their manager. Never got any of those. When I queried my free 1gb they said no its not part of the promotion. When I queried the memory card, I get different answer like its limited to 1000 customers and also 1500 customers .They also failed to mention it limited offer.
When I requested the phone recordings, they said they will get it to me but I have yet to receive it since last week.

I feel they they lied to me to get a sale, had I known they weren't going to give a free memory cards, I would have gone to Harvey Norman or Noel Leemings and bought it outright instead and be guaranteed a the freebies.

They were still advertising the free memory card up until this evening, The guy on the phone last Thursday told me it was sold out and for the first 1500 customers, is it not false advertising when they knew it was sold out but they were still promoting on their website and facebook.

Suney, I know exactly how you feel.
I was a Vodafone customer for 14 years.
Started having issues with them not giving me my allocated data, I rang and rang, got passed around, even went into the stores and all I got was ambivalence.

I gave them way to many chances, walked past a 2degrees booth and got the best service from a Teleco CSR ever (as in not yet repeated lol) and made the switch and never looked back.
It was almost like they were trying to get rid of me, who knows, maybe they were. Haha
