I ordered the Whitestone Dome Glass via Mobile Fun and I'm very satisfied with the product.  Paid $68.48 for it plus $34.95 for the DHL Express Shipping.  A bit pricey but I think it's worth it.  I just followed the installation video on Mobile Fun's Youtube page.  Also watched EBPMAN Tech Reviews on Youtube for more installation and removal info.  Adhesive coverage is full screen and no visible dots like those seen on other tempered glass screen protectors.  Showed it to my friends and they all say it doesn't look like my Note 8 has a screen protector on it.  By the way I'm using the Samsung Protective Standing Cover (Rugged Case) with it, no lifting issues.

Does the white stone collect dust and fluffy bits around the edge of the screen protector from the pocket like my current tempered glass does?

Yes. It does collect dust around the edge because of its dimensions, while at the same time making it compatible with a number of cases.

@ihavenfi - I use a case on my phone. It's one of the Samsung ones, the black mil spec case. I have to take the case off to use the Dex dock otherwise the phone sits to far forward and is not stable. If using the free case that was included with the phone, it does sit better in the dock.
There is a fan in the dock, in the part that slides open. It's supposed to help cool the phone but I can only barely hear it and the phone doesn't even get warm when docked.

while were on the topic of whitestone.

I found this link with whitestone / Note 8 compatible cases.

http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/samsung/galaxy-note-8/cases/whitestone-dome-compatible?referer=P&utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=whitestonedome-compatible-cases

If if the link asks you to change to NZ, hit no, cos that will divert you to the homepage & the list doesnt show.

Great tips for the S-Pen there.  I'm finding the pen is a lot better than the stylus on my Surface Pro 3.  The handwriting recognition is a lot better, plus it flows across the screen a lot better.  The way it presents my handwriting is also miles better than on the Surface - it looks like actual pen lines rather than looking like something I scrawled in paint using a mouse-substitute.

The surface is the most over-rated product in the 2-1 space right now I think. They are super unreliable in our experience. The S-Pen is fantastic, I agree.

I know a lot pf people have had issues with the Surface, but I haven't really run into them.  Certainly there is scope for improvement, and other devices do things better (like the S-Pen), but I've never regretted my purchase.

Agree about the S-Pen...the pen is amazing and so responsive to touch and accuracy. Really enjoying writing on the Note with it. I too have a Surface Pro 3 and the S-Pen is light years better. However, I really enjoy my Surface Pro 3. Its getting a little old now, with two newer generations available. But I will never go back to a normal laptop. It has everything I need, and the size/portability is excellent.

OK. I gave in and ordered a black one from Noel Leeming today.

I played with the display model and that was it. Hooked.

They only had gold in stock which really wasn't my style, so the black is on order, should be a few days.

Now I have to decide if I am brave enough to do that thing that was referred to earlier in this thread and remove the horrible, horrible Spark logo. Why we have to have that on non-Spark phones I will never know.

I was the same, originally was buying it because i needed a replacement. Walked into store and seen the display model, was hooked.
My 2 degrees thankfully has no branding or crapware. Its a clean machine.

My thoughts based on 10 minutes playing with the demo Note today were exactly in accordance with yours.

The SP4 pen is no use at all - at least on my mid spec unit - for applying Lightroom brush adjustments - the colour mask follows the pen tip about 6mm behind where you are, so you are always having to correct things because it's so laggy. I have also given up trying to write notes etc. whereas the Note 8 was just like using a pen and paper.

If you manage to get rid of it, let me know. Ive attempted 3 times with no success. I asked about the possibility of getting it done at PB Tech. They investigated for me apparently & was told "Regarding your inquiry about firmware & Spark logo, it is not able to change. We can re-flash firmware, but it would still have Spark logo when you power it on"
