My Samsung Galaxy A3 updated the software to Nougat tonight. Must say it looks quite different to 6 (which I was running before). However there's a couple of niggles I have at the moment (I'm sure others will pop up over the next few days)...

* is there any way to restore the font I had previously (sorry - I don't know what it was; was it Gothic)? This one is a little hard on the eyes

* how can I change the lock screen clock to appear on one line instead of two? I've gone into the settings (see screenshot - which shows how I want the clock to look: the one on the right, not the one on the left) but try as I might, it keeps wanting to show the clock as:

21

43

rather than 21:43 which I had before.

Anyone able to give me some pointers? I'm still a relatively new Android user (having migrated from Windows Phone)...

Edit: this doesn't look right:

Okay, the Always On display looks right- it's the lock screen that doesn't.
What does this version of Android do that 6 didn't?

Not without root access.

The clock should switch from hours on top, minutes below to side-by-side when a notification comes in though. Could always run an app with an ongoing notification.

Wait till you get Android 8 (well ok, it's a Samsung, who are we kidding) and the notifications change, everything keeps reporting "Running in background" and the lovely new Picture in Picture mode is great until you lock the screen with it on, soon as you unlock the phone reboots.

Ahhh, Google.

I mean I'd rather bite my arms off than own an iPhone, but seesh. Predictability isn't something you should ever associate with Android.
