Ive been using Beep n Go for ages. I have it on multiple devices & use it near daily.

It works flawlessly too!

Since getting my new Samsung Note 8 yesterday & setting up, I found that I cant use it. The app simply refused to allow logging in! Noooo!

The log in error says that I am not connected to the internet, when I very well am. Ive tried all sorts but no luck :(

I can still use the app perfectly fine on both my other devices where its already installed & set up. But I wont have my S7 Edge soon & need this set up on my new phone.

The issue is just on my new device. I just cant log in to get into my account & sync from the cloud

I know that Mobeam canned the app & no longer support it since May 2017. But their sight says existing users can still use the app.

Ive used other similar apps, but this is the one that seems to work with EVERY retailer in NZ

anyone find this issue or have a workaround at all? I love this app & really want to set it up on my Note 8!!

To store loyalty cards etc? The Android Pay app does this also.

Samsung Pay doesn't work in NZ. Can't even install it. (S7 Edge, never been able to install it, still can't)

Android Pay is all good though.

Yeah I knew about the notice from Beep n Go. But I AM an existing user. I just want to use it on a new device that has it installed - but cant

I tried android pay, its kinda ok, but it seems to only work with bnz according to the website. I attempted to set it up. it wouldnt as It didnt like my credit card. If you can add loyalty cards in it, ive not figured out how as yet! Have you done this?

Samsung Pay is currently useless in NZ.

There are other similar apps. But I genuinely loved this app. the back up to cloud & sync to other devices was great

Yes, currently only BNZ supports Android Pay for contactless payments. To add a loyalty card though, it should be as easy as hitting the "+" button then "Add a loyalty programme"? I have numerous loyalty cards loaded.

I noticed this yesterday - Shame, I used Beep & Go a fair bit to avoid having to cart around a mountain of annoying plastic cards.

Android Pay only appears to work with credit cards, so that's useless in NZ for any non-BNZ customers. - Unless there's some trick to it that I can't see?

Well done Samsung.... Back to carrying around a bunch of cards :(

If Android Pay won't let you add loyalty cards without first adding a a credit card, have a look at something like Stocard.

Good find, looks to do the job nicely and actually has a native index for NZ too. No Mobeam support but I wasn't holding my breath for that to ever work in NZ as it is, so this looks like a winner.

Ive opted to give Stocard a go at this point. Brings all the usual NZ retailers too, so thats good.

Yet to try to use it yet. So will see how well the scanning works.

So disappointed with Beep N Go. Id be able to use it if the app would simply let me log in on the app!

I was also annoyed to find I couldn't use beep'ngo on my Note 8. I've used it for ages on my S7 edge for cards like Onecard.
I think the problem is that it is trying to connect to a now non existent server when you set it up.
Unfortunately Stocard doesn't work with Countdown's scanners and I suspect many others, so nowhere near the functionality of beep'ngo

Pretty sure the Countdown OneCard/AA Smartfuel card uses data from the card's magnetic strip for Onecard, not the barcode. The barcode on the card is for AA Smartfuel. Different data for each task. And if I remember correctly, no loyalty app will work with Onecard since their barcode scanners aren't setup to identify/recognise any barcode manually configured with the Onecard number?

Correct - everything printed on the OneCard refers to the AA account, only the mag-strip will work to crossreference your Countdown "account" other than manually keying in the number at the terminal, assuming they can even do that.

That said, Mobeam is supposed to support emulating a magnetic strip (via witchcraft\voodoo\black magic), unfortunately I don't think it's even enabled for devices in NZ, which is a shame as it sounds like an entire wallet solution.

Their scanners did work with the beepngo app you just had to create a card manually by entering the card number and then it created a scannable barcode that the app would "beam"
