And if so, will it work with my current xbox elite controller?

Fun story: Tried to convince NVIDIA to sell Shields in ANZ for the past ~2 years with no joy. The market caps are too small for them to make a dedicated variant (see: power adapter, certification), and the long term strategy for the product hinges on their game streaming services which are not available here because latency.

As much as I’d like to say stuff that and bring them in anyway, relationships with NVIDIA ANZ are understandably quite a bit more valuable than one product - and straight up the Shields would be too expensive at local retail. So as Mauricio says, snag one from Amazon.

Do yourself a favor and buy an Nvidia Shield TV whilst you're at it - it's a truly excellent piece of kit.

The PC to TV streaming is superb, and it has way more grunt than most 'streaming' boxes - looking at you Netflix 4k ;).

WAF is great too - she couldn't get over how teeny tiny the box is.

I have been totally unimpressed with our Shield TV. I replaced an Amazon TV with it. It's laggy and the remote won't update (v1 and remote firmware latest is 1.7) and my wife hates it. I haven't gotten around to resetting it completely, but I likely woudn't buy another.

I tried getting support and they ignored me.

People in NZ don't really understand how small we are.. Interesting story. A couple of years ago, I bought a pair of court shoes. I liked them so much (I have trouble with footwear due to flat feet) I wanted a second pair. Called the retailer, sold out, contacted about 6 others throughout NZ, sold out in my size. Called the NZ rep for that brand. He said sold out. I asked him when more coming, he says the following january. I am shocked and ask him if he is serious, he confirms.

He said that across the whole year, across mens and womens shoes, across the whole country, this brand sells less shoes in NZ, than a single store of a large chain in the US, in a week. Think about that for a moment. 1 Store, 1 one city, 1 week.

He said that the parent company considers sales to NZ a rounding error.

In the end they did get some stock out of Australia, but took 65 days.
