I've found battery life on the S9+ to be excellent. By the time I went to bed last night I was still over 50% battery with almost 4 hours screen on time. My S8 would be down around 20%

The real question will be how long does it last doing important (definition of "important" may vary) things like PokemonGo.  :-)

Mine is apparently with the courier for delivery.  So I guess that'll mean picking it up from the post shop tonight.

Facebook, Whatsapp, YouTube, Spotify in car, Plex, Netflix and web browsing.

I'm not much of a mobile gamer.

From what I can tell so far, the biggest improvement comes from almost no standby drain - around 1% per 2 hours.

Loving it so far!

Couple of slow downs and freezes with certains apps (GBoard and FB Messenger), hopefully more cause of the app rather than the phone not being able to handle it.

Real annoying bug with Kbiox Workspace (i.e work profile which allows separate sandbox for only work data) where I can't use any custom keyboards even in the normal profile. Hopefully they fix that at some stage

It'll be interesting to see how the move over to Android 8.0 which has treble will do for updates.

It's okay. About what you would expect from a phone these days. I can get it down to ~85% by the time I get to work but my commute is around 70mins. Main usage is 4G browsing, messaging and playing music over bluetooth during that time.

I sometimes have to top it up at work if I'm going out that night because it probably won't last. I wish it lasted longer but probably have to rely on your fast charger. I think I get around 4 - 4.5 hours screen-on time

S9+ I can push around 35-40 hours from a single charge with about 6-7 hours screen on time.

Usually I'll get though a day with 50-60% battery left by the time I go to bed.

However I don't use the Facebook (Samsung Internet with notifications instead) or Snapchat apps which are really bad for draining battery.

Overall the battery life is far superior to that of my old S8.

Upgraded from an S6 so comparing to a almost 3 year old phone but S9 battery seems waaaay better. Doesn't hurt that the bundle I bought it with included a 10000mAh power bank which I take with me instead of charging at work or in car lol.

Edit: Fix for calls and better looking wallpapers.  Patch level is still march 2018 however

I read today that the S9 Exynos has woeful battery life (compared to the 845).

I'm interested to explore further as I may upgrade my S7 to the S9, but battery is important to me.

How are S9 owners finding battery life to date? Please, only S9 owners, the S9+ is less affected.

The problem I see with the tests is that they were done comparing the Exynos S9 with the Snapdragon S9+. Benchmarks really do not mean much compared to real life usage.

I keep seeing all these reports of the battery life being terrible, but when you read comments from people that actually have an Exynos S9, they're not bad. Most of the noise I've seen so far has been on Reddit and XDA from SD variant owners trying to grasp any chance to finally have the better variant for once.

Also from the accounts from the couple of people I know that actually own S9's, the battery life is decent, and better than the S8.

Have a co-worker at work with the s9, first couple of days the drain was bad but seems to be a lot better now (which is standard when you get a new phone as you play with it more) but it also takes a couple of days for the software to learn the usage patterns of the user.
