Yes that is quite true on android OS. good point. I just HATE having apps open. its the neat freak in me. i do it on all OS. i especially found on OSX, when I had 4Gb ram, i couldnt have more than 1 app open before hitting threshold. Once I upgraded to 8GB I found the actual base was around 5GB.

Im tossing up in my head whether a 6" screen can replace a 9.7" ipad or not. Then there is the galaxy s8 plus with 18.5:9 which does make good use of veritcal scrolling. id love an ipad plus 10.5 but cant justify the cost for watching netflix, youtube etc. but im not the sort to fiddle with phone in public so is a small screen phone and a base model 9.7 ipad a better choice.

iPhone X has 3GB RAM, iPhone 8 has 2GB RAM. I saw a video here that might help you with the obsession of closing apps ;)

You may be talking about desktop computers though. 4GB is a bit light for a 2018 desktop.

Ignore that, the G5s runs off the sd430 soc, so not the same as the plus.

Nokia 6 2018 has to be the hottest looking phone of 2018. $500, Id be waiting and trying to get a loaner for a few months.

Remembering the G5s is a 2017 phone. I'd go the Nokia 6, newer, and would probably be nicer anyhow. I'll keep an eye on it myself, I have an old Nokia which will become less useful as the year goes on, could be a good replacement.

I had a Nokia 6120 prior to my first touch phone, nokia 620 windows. The 6120 is still going after 15 years, the 620 still running fine. The 620 doesnt have gorilla glass but ive dropped it over 40 times. Sometimes onto sharp rocks while fishing etc.

There is just something about nokia, their industrial design is second to none. THe 6 is carved from a solid aluminium block. No gorilla glass on the back with double sided edges (looking at you samsung). I just find that design horrible. I much prefer an ally side, a curved back and a flat front panel. Ok the galaxy s6 edge was like oh wow cool 4 years ago, but it just looks like a cheap plastic soap bar to me now. Which is a shame as samsung hardware is great.

I bought my Mrs a Le eco le 2 which is one of the most professional quality looking phones ive seen for $160 a year ago. Now it runs lineage so she can have Oreo as we all know Le eco got into troubles so updates never occured, but even on 6.0 it runs fine.

I just like that metal side sandwhiched look, i dont mind a curved back but you need the straight edge front for grip. i just dont get how anyone with a doctorate in design would design a phone with both edges curved and both sides made of glass. Every second used phone for sale seems to have a crack at least.

Im getting greedy but the black and gold trim looks hot on the Nokias, the white and gold looks equally as hot. Heres the 7, 6" phone running the sd660 which is new, sits between midrange sd630 on the new Nokia 6 and sd845/35 like the Sirocco.

I am disappointed I never picked up the White/Gold Lumia 930, although I'd be nervous for the white staying white...

To be fair this part of their problem though. iOS isnt noted for having optimised software and apple have always run light on ram. yet their CPU is intel i5 speed, twice as quick as a good qualcomm.

So people with the A10x chip are like, why is my phone slower than the galaxy. I do believe its partly ram and partly software optimisation. Technically the iphone cpu/gpu should be putting android out of business, but it might be a case of them realising they dont have to spend more on hardware to keep making profit. But iPhone is what is keeping apple afloat. The MBP13 hasnt had a refresh in a decade. They dare to call it a pro with a dual core 15w cpu and no gpu? Along with terrible thermal design and massive quality control issues (magsafe law suit, staingate etc etc), I just had to get out of apple.

Ha, Ill watch that video now mate :-)

Edit: NOOOO not a musical a cartoon one at that. Oh more irritating than unused apps left open rofl.

Yes I hear ya. But this is not plastic like Apple use. I also wonder if its toooo flashy. But it does look WOW, mind you so does the black and orange trim. To think that the mid-bottom range 6 comes with that finish says something about Nokia.

Im interested to see how much work Zeiss have done with that camera considering the sensor is not a great one. But like I said, its a cellphone. Personally outside landscapes they are destined to sit in folder somewhere unlooked at for years to come lol.

This is what I really wanted, the Sirocco 8. Admittedly it has rounded front and back edges, but more like the galaxy S9, just a bit more to hold onto.

Its a shame they couldnt get hold of the SD845, but there isnt a lot in it. The 6Gb ram is good as is battery life. Along with a p-OLED screen 1440p. Ill have to wait for reviews because it might be cheaper to buy the galaxy s8 and the one plus 5t is only around $700 now. But it definitely looks nice and I like its also android one. But the 6 will probably do me, I just get greedy as I love nice oled screens.

A much better 7 plus review below and black vs white side by side. 3800mah with sd660 and essentially 1080p 6" IPS = long screen on time.

The Nokia 10 will be the reall ball buster with SD845, 8GB Ram, 4k OLED, 6". Those are all due to change though as noone is certain yet. But people are already calling Nokia will be back on top again. I think it was the right move to MS phone, as at that stage windows phone was (and still is) the most professional and optimised operating system. Its just MS changed its mind on one OS to run on 3 devices to, 1 device. Which really is for most people. Some people will always need a PC, ie CAD. The Andromeda if it gets released is more like replacing an XPS 13 than a 45w cpu and gtx1080 lol.
