Linux: It even has the word USIM printed on it

I looked after everything SIM card related for 8 years in Vodafone NZ so well aware what they look like LOL

John

laughing laughing  I wasn't doubting you, and yes of course I saw that it said 4G voice and data usim......  but I thought it must have 2 sim cards effectively, because I'd been told the owner of the phone had removed it when she transferred everything to her new phone. So now I"m totally lost..... what do I need to do to get it to work for me? If it's got a sim card in it but no phone number attached to it what do I do now?

You need to get hold of another SIM card if that SIM card in the handset is not active

I suspect the old owner of that phone and SIM card switched to nano SIM so the SIM card you have is now dead

Supermarket for $2 SIM prepay pack.

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their xDSL broadband network faster. If your still stuck on ADSL or VDSL, why not spend from $150 on a master filter install to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?

The phone handset has on it that it is 'networked locked'. Does this truly mean I can only use another Vodafone sim card?  or can I use a 2 degrees one? I checked on the 2 degrees site and their frequency numbers 'thingy' matches what the handset says it will work with. Thanks :-)

LOL LOL. I've been looking at the posts here about the sure signal booster thing and see that it is possible for other people to also get the benefit from it and that will go onto my broadband usage.

On a different note though hio77,  because I stopped using my old spark phone (cos it didn't hardly work at my house) I turned it on earlier in the year and it said it wasn't connected anymore. Is is possible to reconnect it? Or take my old sim card from that old phone and put it in this second hand vodafone one and get it going again? Thanks.
