Ok. So it looks like it's installed random games on the device. This is not great.
The OS updater should not be used for this at all.

how does emui 9 compare with oxygen OS in terms of snappiness? i used to have a samsung that is laggy and crashes a lot. don't want that. I heard that oxygen OS is the best out there ... and then i saw this on JB and if looks can kill ...

just one thing though - huawei had the spying scandal - anyone concerned about them?

The snappiness is ok on it. I put nova on for the interface but I wish you could unlock the bootloader and put something else on. Hardware is great software is about 5 years behind

My Black Pre-Order from PBTech is delayed (supposed to be given today) for pick up. They say it's delayed nationwide until next week and unsure on the ETA.

I was hoping to play with it this weekend. Not sure if they are delaying it for any more screen incidents?

After 2 phone calls to Noel Leeming they have me an update: “we don’t know when we’ll be getting stock, if you’d like to cancel your pre order please visit a store”. Worst pre order experience ever.

Regarding the random application/game installs as part of updates - that does not sound good at all. I get the impression that if you move away from Huawei’s OS that you’ll lose features unique to the phone such as those that take advantage of the three lenses - can anyone confirm?

I got the .126 update. It was 600 MB for me. Same issue with the games. At least they could be uninstalled. I would rather the focus on updates was on system stability rather than games.... My changelog had camera updates and Oct 2018 security update.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Interesting. I got the 9.0.0.126 (AUSC636E10R1P17) a couple of weeks back. No mention of new apps or no installed apps back then.

Changelog mentions new filters and effects plus AI zoom feature plus Octboer 2018 security update. Nothing else.

Yes i am sure i was on 126 before this one as well.  When i got mine on release day it had the October update and the other things update ready to install when i turned it on.

Maybe it's just the 2degrees model phone.

They had a ton on the shelf in the queen street store today with invoices attached and ready to go to customers. They also had stock to sell, so expect you’ll definitely get yours Monday.

I also got the above mentioned update, still .126 but it added a few games to the phone which i deleted. probably added some stability and fixes under the hood.
