Still waiting for my pre ordered Mate 20 to arrive. No update from Huawei or NL on when stock will be available. Gave up waiting and bought an iPhone XS while I wait, will decide between the two once it eventually turns up, or cancel my order if I find the iPhone holds my attention.

Well, that's just ridiculous on NL part when they are actually selling it. What's the point of pre order.

Spark store tonight told me they had to try pretty hard to get mine, they said it's like gold.

I seem to be on a different firmware to my other one.

This one doesn't even have the LTE Advanced High speed option - no update available.

9.0.0.122

I was at PB Tech today buying something else. My green screen is not that flash and I even notice it in full light now. I was told the only option available for warranty was full refund of the bundle.

Apart from the green screen issue I absolutely love the phone. @NikT is there likely to be a repair option available in the future?

Cheers, Matt

Unfortunately without an ETA on more stock coming into the country, there's not much else that can be done right now - but I'm sure there will be a solution when replacements come into free supply.

Great. Thanks very much @NikT. I'm in no rush. I would prefer to keep the phone as anything else would be a step backwards. I'm happy to wait until supplies pick up for the repair.

I'd love to know how huawei are with you on that one?

Case by case basis, or agreeing it's an issue?

Hey guys, I would like to share my experiences with the green screen tint. i purchased my emerald green mate 20 pro from pb tech and received it on launched day. I notice the green tint after 2 weeks of usage. I called up Huawei and they told me to take it to the authorised repair centre which is fonefix in mt wellington for replacement. I popped into there today, they verified the fault and replaced it with a full retail unopened box within an hour. They know that the fault is only with LG displays, so the replacement once is an BOE display. Im very happy with the huawei service!

Remember to backup your phone before taking it in, and bring the box and accessories too!

Oh no.

I think it may even be worse on this one!
Lay down watching some YouTube... Notice not just green edges but streeks across the screen like its been put on like bad wallpaper!

I'll retest tomorrow and check how well photos were in the morning....

Man unlucky, i have not noticed the issue on mine at all (LG as well). Had another look last night with brightness set to min, in a dark room in the camera app and could not see any green.

Maybe i am just lucky

The mate 20 is lcd and does not have the issue
Mate 20 pro is oled and there are 2 suppliers that supplied the displays. LG oled displays have the issue
