TeaLeaf:Thanks Rob. What about hills? Not that CCH has many.

They handle my driveway and the Moorhouse Ave. overpass but I am sure they would not handle the Port Hills.

Really interesting the tech using kinetic as well, that is the future imo. The modern satellite nuke plants which are soooooooooo much more eco friendly and safe than the old school ones like in the japanese tsunami which they still cant figure out how to fix, combined with tesla plants and electric personal commuting and long distance electric, train, cars etc.

When will the Mi store website go live and will the phones be available online sales or just instore? Because 70 units will be about 10 minutes in sales lol.

Just curious to know what speed does it reduce down to when going over the Moorhouse overpass? (Obviously, the weight of the rider will affect this).

Just quickly on that, the spec says max weight 220lb. but im sure it will still work with heavier riders but longevity may diminish?

But yeah, interesting to know about the small hill climb...

I just watched a rather unflattering review of the pocophone camera, which is odd as it uses the mi mix 3 which is getting good reviews.

Looking at the number of scooters they've got (which will no doubt sell out almost immediately), they'll be raking in at least $288k this weekend in scooter sales alone.

Hopefully things will continue as such and they'll do well - it's a nice thought to have a dedicated tech shop (a la Apple Store) in NZ - and it'd be even better if they did well enough to open stores around the other main centres too.

I cant beleive they screwed up the image stabilisation in 4K mode?!!?  4K without it is awful?

Yeah lack of OIS in vid is weird, luckily I dont shoot any video. The cat photo doesnt look bad. I think the issue on the other review was the main camera in low light, softness, but could be a bad copy. I just cant see them using different lens on the mi mix 3 which uses the same sensor

Love what he said about "those greedy companines" selling a new phone every year over $1000. So flappn true. time to educate the masses who pay WAY to much without thinking.

Hmmm, I was going to get the p20 pro, in that i can see $1k ($1300), the technology and leica quad game replaces one of my secondary cameras i take with my camera gear when hiking/hunting. But still a heck of a price.

I know the A2 is a bit fugly, but what you get for the dollars there is also awesome, the prior gen imx362 sensor, not much in it and ive seen it compared with the s9 and another phone and yes its no quite as good, but it aint that far off, for a $370 phone what can you expect.

My dream phone would be calls, sms, email and a 1" camera. i really dont need half the gear they put on these high end phones. yes its nice but if i could have those 4 things for half the price and no multimedia id pay it. actually id prob pay $1k for that as thats what a quality 1inch secondary travel cam costs.

Here we go, F1, A2, OP6. I do wish when they do camera reviews they would do the photography as the focus. Its like camera companies focussing on 4k video in still photography cameras, grrrr, save the RnD and put it into stills IQ, for others buy a videography camera. Yes its handy but it shouldnt be 50% of the focus. On phones I can understand it though.

Ok this is a good review of the camera, F1, mi8, S9

The reason the F1 struggles in low light is the lack of OIS. The Xiaomis do look better than the Samsung in a lot of shots, crazy.

Great videos thanks TeaLeaf.  Based on those vids Im ruling out A2 as Poco is worth the extra money for the better photos/video.

Now its down to Mi 8 vs Poco... with the decision of whether OIS on the Mi8 is worth the extra $150.  I dont know what the Xiaomi Mi 8 store opening special will be but Im assuming it will be about $600?

So many options which is great but hurts my brain at the same time... pays to do lots of research though especially if your a 2 year phone holder like me.

Sorry, I do not have a holder for my cellphone and unlike some idiots on Lime scooters, I will not be riding with a cellphone in my hand so I cannot tell you how fast I travel on my scooter.
