This morning's Vodafone update:

 

My number is scheduled to be ported out tonight/tomorrow morning and I still haven't received a tracking number.

I'm in the same boat, wouldn't take much to have a better tracking system. The online one just says no orders pending, but call centre assures me its underway....

Have the pre order deals finished? If not, whats the best one around? PB Techs deals didnt inspire me this time around.

I am taking annual leave tomorrow. I’ll be at the nearest Vodafone store in the morning unless it appears on my door step sometime today. I really hope they aren’t going to try to charge me for an interim SIM card.

Depends if u r keen to get on a telecom plan or without it. PBTech deals have been a bit of a bummer..honestly I was expecting more usable gifts...but they sit right at the top with NL being the next inline. I myself ain't a fan of getting one on a telecom plan as I dont need to be on a big value plan...
However...still waiting in some word from PBTech (pre ordered on 26th). Walked in-store and they have some shipment expected to be arriving today...Let's see!!!

I think the Vodafone deal with the free tv is the best deal. A mate forwarded me the email so if you want a copy pm me your email address and i can forward it on. Looking for buds if you want to flick them off to reduce the damage.

Their front of house people are not the same as the sales team and, for some reason best known to VF, they cannot read the notes etc left by the sales team when they do the orders (or so I was told) so could not help other than to escalate it back to sales and ask them to get in touch and update me.

 

I find that large organisations are not the best at returning calls like that, so it remains to be seen whether it results in an answer! The Front desk people did say that the order is definitely alive but they cannot see much more than that.

Had been dithering over it but finally decided to go for the Vodafone S10 with TV deal yesterday. Quite excited for the phone with it being my first high end one having always gone for lower end models around the $300 mark until now. I expect I've ordered too late for it to be in the first batch delivered this week but hopefully won't be too long a wait.
