Cheers, guys - will give Signal a go.

In the few weeks I've had this phone I can't say I've really taken advantage of any of the better text integration with my watch, so it shouldn't be something I miss! Still, why would Samsung release a text app that is restricted in this manner?

It's not really a Samsung limitation, the smart notification api only lets you do so much. You can't, for example, reply to a notification that doesn't exist. On the same basis your watch can reply to a text but not send a new one. Samsung did something priority to enable sending a new message via their messaging app.

It's exactly The same on Android wear. You can't go "ok Google, send text to xyz" and have it work on a non standard messaging app like signal.

Sorry, I should have been more precise - I was questioning why Samsung's messaging app would not provide the option to send long texts as SMS.

But, yeah, a fair point re alternative texting app and limited watch integration - but it's a pity the Samsung messaging app isn't a more comprehensive one, especially given this very point!

That limitation is because of carrier requirements. These requirements only apply to the stock app not to any other one you can download in the store.

Another update with live video. Pretty sure it's a gimmick as note 10 plus with tof can't do it properly.

Involuntary autocorrect in operation on mobile device. Apologies in advance.

Default weather widget isn't updating to the day light savings time. Any ideas how to fix this? System clock has updated.

soggychups: Default weather widget isn't updating to the day light savings time. Any ideas how to fix this? System clock has updated.

I added the Samsung weather/clock widget to my home screen and get the same result; weirdly, the clock-only widget is correct.

One temporary fix could be to delete the clock/weather widget and add two widgets (for weather and time).

Personally, I prefer the Yr weather widget (and app), as I like more detail at a glance...

I have the same on my note 10+ and tried clock and weather separate widgets but didn't like but was correct time, so just waiting hopefully update perhaps after this weekend when Australia changes their daylight saving.

Just updated. First thing I noticed, Google Play Store has dark mode applied. I have night mode activated all the time but Play was originally white, now black background without me changing any settings.

I see that video now has a "live focus" mode and a few different FX as well. Not of interest to me personally, but still nifty that they are adding new features like this.
