I've asked Huawei about this earlier yesterday - I asked explicitly if they had some partnership with Ford for in-car connection, etc. I haven't received an answer yet.

I see a Ford logo, and my phone has never paired with a ford.
My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

freitasm:
You asked the question like those help desk that follow a script, without really considering who you are talking to. You really think I would not have thought "Oh, I have a Ford, I paired with it before, it may be it"? (and again, I don't have a Ford)
Having worked in IT as long as I have; I've learnt to never assume anything. So yes, I did consider who I was asking and I even checked to see if anyone had mentioned whether they'd paired to their car or not. No one had till then. So you ask the obvious questions to confirm and/or counter your biases (especially to counter your biases).
Since some have a logo (now two different ones) and some don't, I'd be looking to see what are the similarities and/or differences. So: physical location, network provider, firmware version/revision, where the phone was bought from, phone model number, what apps are installed, are devices rooted, what settings are similar and/or different - e.g.: developer mode enabled.

I have a Merc, my phone is paired with my Merc, but all I have is a grey dot!! Toys are flying out of the cot!!! 😡👿
As an Android developer, I hope I can clear a few things up.
These car manufacturer logos that you are seeing are normal, it's not Huawei spying on you or some Huawei developer playing tricks with you.
These logos are standard Android Auto images.
When dissecting the Huawei Settings.apk file we see that in the /res/drawable-xxxhdpi-v4 folder there are several image files referring to numerous car manufacturers that implement Android Auto in their vehicles. These manufacturers include Audi, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Ford, Porsche, and Volvo. The menu item in the settings isn't shown by default because we are not connected to these cars using Android Auto, which is entirely different to connecting to your car using Bluetooth for handsfree calling or music. The setting item that we see when searching settings for "locat**" is shown because the search overrides the standard settings menu that Huawei has enabled for a particular device or connected devices.
Here are the Logos I have found in the Huawei Settings.apk
Thanks @binaryboy001... So as I suspected it is related to Android Auto but nothing we can use unless connected.
Good to know.
