The Nebula Blue is stunning. Frosted glass, dark to light gradient, photos and videos don't show it off as well as seeing it in person.

As noted above, there is a global shortage of this colour, I expect what stock is left won't last the weekend. More will be coming when supply frees up globally, but I'd grab one quick if you're keen.

The 5G model is exclusive to the telcos who're launching it alongside their 5G networks, like EE in the UK.

If you really do want a 5G phone for testing and/or future-proofing, there is potential to source Mi Mix 5G and LG V50. But as a pretty key sticking point for your use-case, all the current 5G devices are single SIM only, since they're effectively built to order for telcos to subsidise as new 5G customer bait rather than designed for the open market. :)

So picked one up yesterday, like it so far, battery is OK but i am use to the battery of an iphone xr.

One issue people might be facing is snapchat opens the front camera (even when you are not using the front camera in snapchat). Another is there ambient display not working.  Reports from people are that it doesnt work in low light, I had the same issue last night.  The real issue is that the case it comes with can block out the sensor so just pull the case back a bit from the top and it works again :)

Re: The 5g - are you guys looking at bringing the Mi Mix 3 5g in? The 5g is less interesting than the processor and extra battery to me.

Might be able to source as a special order but won't be a regularly ranged thing, 5G = $$$ for a feature that's currently of no use in NZ, plus it's single-SIM. If processor and battery are the key features, then keep an eye on the Mi9T/K20.

Something a bit weird about the screen protector on the OP7P. Light scrapes will indent it as if the protector is soft and from just 2 days of having it in my pocket, the screens surface now appears visually and physically "wavey". Can anyone else confirm this? My first thought was it might be one of those "self-healing" style protectors but not sure. Really don't like the look or feel of it, ruins a beautiful screen. Might have to get a replacement screen protector.

Picked up phone yesterday, had an air bubble under protector in bottom right corner. Top left corner going same way now. Never use film/glass protectors anyway so will be removing.
Liking the phone so far, screen makes my ‘old’ S7 Edge look like a dinosaur :)

Apparently there has been some pretty significant camera improvements since release. Can anyone confirm how it stacks up against the big boys now? That new color released looks absolutely beautiful.

Mine updated to 9.5.7 software during initial setup, so can’t say how old software was - but I do notice focusing seems to be an issue for close up pics - worse than my old s7 edge. I haven’t had enough time to play with the camera so will try more over the weekend, I’m sure I just need to get used to it....
Otherwise very happy so far, battery life amazing - and I use an adapter for the supplied UK warp charger so charging is v fast. Love the screen, especially full coverage minimal bezel thing - really made my old s7 look like an antique 😂

Has anyone found a way around the front facing camera coming up automatically for apps like Snapchat? My workaround at the moment is to change the Snapchat camera to the rear camera in the app so it defaults to that hence the pop up camera doesn't appear unless I switch camera. Keen to know if there is another way around this for other apps though. Thanks.
