Got mine today. IN2020 12-256GB.. Very nice phone.
A few questions:
- is 5G expected to ever work on this?
- I got a parralel imported which came with a US Warp Powser Supply. Where can I best source an NZ one?
- Anything else I should know?

- i would hope so, i think its just a case of oneplus enabling it once they are sure it works with a countries network
- They dont make a nz warp charger so you have to use a travel adapter.
Im not sure how fast the phone would charge with a Super VOOC 3/4 charger from oppo as from what i can find its the same underlying tech just a different name. and the previous VOOC 2 was the same as oneplus' old dash charging

I thin the IN2020 is parallel imported from China. Not likely it would support the 5G here, for this very reason I chose to get the IN2023 at a higher price instead. It wouldn't bother me as 5G is probably still 1-2 years away before its coverage gets meaningful.
For your War Power Supply, it would be much easier just to just a travel adapter or a Chinese standard powerboard (works with NZ ) you may be able to get from AliExpress.
Something looks like this -

Damn really? Quite disappointing if 5G doesn't end up working on the IN2020
FYI.
Even 4G B28 band (APT 700) used here is not supported by IN2020. Again, I wouldn't really worry about it....
5G-wise, I have done a little bit more reading.....n78 used by Vodafone is actually supported by both In2020 and IN2023. Spark seems will be on n7 (wikipedia) which is only supported by IN2023.

Using the Oppo charger from PBTech it would display "Charging Rapidly" vs using Warp Charger it would just display "Warp Charging". My guess is it would be faster than a generic USB but slower than the original Warp....?

If you're on Vodafone or Spark you likely won't notice a difference as they run band 08 & band 05 respectively alongside band 28. Vodafone especially only have a couple of cell masts where 28 is used and not 08 also.
I am on Vodafone, yeah. So no 5G for me?
I found a detailed list of what bands the various versions of the Oneplus 8 Pro supported but damned if I can find the details of what bands each operator is running on.
All I can find is tons of information about why 5G is not dangerous for me, which I don't really give a toss about...

I just use gis.geek.nz but I don't think they have the 5G bands on there?
As far as I know Oneplus has to update availability in a software update - so while some are coming, I'm not sure if NZ will.
Anyone knows which version is the one sold by Noel Leeming? 2020 or 2023?

It is on written clearly on the website's listing it is parallel import....
I would say IN2020.
It's clear that is parallel import, I can see/read that. The version is not clear.
the first lot they had were the 2020 version. unsure on this lot
Man, I am at the point now where I may have to return my phone. Constantly losing cell reception, wifi just never works and now I get huge touch delays and where the phone almost freezes for 2-3 seconds before becoming responsive again.
