I have been using glass protectors for most of my and my wife's phone.
Except my S7: I managed to give it a micro scatches (and a small chip on the side) on my first day so I gave up on it.
There have since been a lot more micro scatches.

Seems like a lot of the new protectors are quite expensive.

I will also need a new case, I got a cheapo but it feels too slippery, constantly feel like I will drop it.
I'm thinking of the Spigen Rugged Armor.

Any good recommendation on something that's not too big?

I still have the factory screen protector on my S20+, although it has a few scuffs and also some wear from too much COD Mobile!  I will keep it on as long as I can and then too, remove it and I wont replace it.

Also, can recommend the Dbrand Grip case.  There has been a number of issues discussed online about grip cases failing and falling apart. I think this was largely around the older versions of the case, and the newer ones seem a lot better from what I have read. Dbrand have also been replacing them.  They also have fairly frequent specials.

Dbrand Grip Case with the Swam skin on it ftw! Have the same skin on my buds+ and surface laptop to complete the set.

New note 20 ultra owner here . Ex note 9 note 3 user

On my note 9 I had a separate led notification light for whatsapp email text which would blink so what it meant is if I was away and I came back to the phone , I instantly knew what had come

But now I don't get it.

Is there a third party app I need to install which can give me some thing like that or am I missing something

Notification light was lost in the transition from note 9 to 10.  I think you can make the camera LED light up in the same way deep in the settings somewhere.

Re cases.  Spigen rubber armor is great but due to the massive camera bump it's not thick enough to make the phone sit flat on a desk.  I went with the Samsung protective standing cover.  It's bigger but sits flat and you also get the kickstand.

Does anyone know how to set the quick launch (double press power button) to camera?
There is no option in the camera settings and the camera app is not in the side key setup.

Swipe down on home to bring the Quick Panel into view.  Tap on the Power button.  Tap on Side Key Settings.  Define your preferences.

Yeah thanks, got it.
Think I had a dumb moment haha

I'm loving the phone so far.
Definitely not a power user but will probably keep this phone for a while so I didn't mind paying $$ for it now.

People commented on its size in their reviews etc. But I have no issues with it, feel really good in my hand.
Only had some issues with my palm hitting the alpha/number key a few times.

How's the battery life now guys? (It was mentioned the October update was meant to help with that).

We have had our device from day 1 and still not received any updates for it, with Skinny.
Have others had any updates?

I've been receiving monthly updates since owning the device. Generally I don't wait for NZ telcos, they are some of the slowest to update. I download the latest firmware for my device and flash it via odin. Takes ten minutes and means I'm always up to date, doesn't effect anything as all Samsung firmware is now OXM (same firmware for different countries).

Maybe look into updating this way, if you need a hand feel free to PM me.

I've had mine since launch (2Degrees pre order) and have had multiple updates since receiving it.

I've just moved from 2Degrees to Skinny. Still on October release and it's half way through December....have you had any updates since this post?
