I wonder when we'll get another update?

The UK models have had 3 updates so far to do with camera improvements stability and such.

Security patch FEB 2021 while we're on Jan 1 still.

A quick look at Sammobile shows nothing for NZ.

landcruiserguy:

It's the right decision. Most of the pixel fanboys still think samsung is using touchwiz. One ui is great and it's also fully theamable so if you don't like it just change it. Many bits of the os that samsung have written are actual better than stock Android and your definitely have more control and options.

The one disadvantage with samsung is slow updates. That only matters if you have fomo and they are getting faster.

Pixel always has rubbish hardware.

Just wanted to say thanks again for this. I absolutely love this phone and am surprised how much I like One UI. I think I actually prefer it to stock Android, and not by a small margin either. It is seriously slick.

I have zero complaints about the base S21. It's a good size, feels fantastic in my hand, the screen is phenomenal (I will never be able to use a 60hz phone again), camera is brilliant, performance is unworldly quick, bluetooth is rock solid, the phone barely even gets warm and I'm consistently getting 6-8 hours of screen on time per charge. Couldn't recommend it more really.

I almost don't want any updates because everything is working so well.

New S21 Ultra 5g user here.
Discovered 5g is only in tiny pockets of the city so I guess that won't be used.
Had 2 updates applied in the week I've had it and now YouTube keeps pausing itself or failing to stream properly on both wifi and 4g.

hmm, bugger. I've been using vanced here and haven't had any issues. Mind you I'm on the stock s21.

Gotta say, I was sceptical, but I'm loving dex. Currently plugged into my usb C 'dock' doing muti window work and typing on a keyboard. Fabulous.

Good on Samsung for coming to the party.

Only weeks after buying an S21 Ultra, I get an email offering a free smart view phone case with SPen, with a purchase of an S21 Ultra.

I contacted customer support and they ended up sending me a smart view case.

However before this happened I purchased a silicon case with SPen, so now I have two! I will use the smart view case for a couple of weeks to see if I like it any more than the silicone case, before deciding which one I want and which one to sell.

But thanks Samsung for the free gift, even after the fact that I had already bought the phone. Kudos.

I bought my Silver S21 Ultra a few days ago. Came from the Huawei P30 Pro.

So far im happy with it. The UI. I have yet to put the camera through its paces which is why I  bought it. I bought the Smartcase S Pen at the same time.

I'm based in Hamilton and today I'm sure I saw a 4G+ symbol on the phone. Never seen that before. The emphasis is on the +. I should mention I'm with 2 degrees

Nice to hear customer service isn't dead. I purchased mine from Samsung directly in store, and found them to be brilliant. Helped with software transfer, not that I really needed it but was good, and even gave me a coffee voucher while I waited.

Haven't been lucky enough to get the same offer as you, but you never know!!

I grabbed the Samsung silicon case which I didn't like, so just got the spigen rugged case (pb tech) which is brilliant for $33

Many folk get the S pen. I bought the package with the case and pen with it.

I have used Notes for years so it seemed like I was coming home

I've just moved to the S21 Ultra after after a couple of Huawei phones.

I picked up a Spigen Ultra Hybrid Case and now I'm looking at a screen protector. What is everyone using? In particular with Spigen cases?
