gehenna:

I have the S22 Ultra and the Z Fold4 (and previously Fold3).  I find myself using the Fold much more often than the S22 since I got it, but they do different things really well, so its less about it being an upgrade or downgrade for me, and more about them just being right or wrong devices for different people depending on what they need from their device.

Yes I totally agree mate.

Anyone using Microsoft Teams on their Fold? I have a weird bug I'd like to know if anyone else has...

Basically if I'm using Teams while unfolded on the internal display, it correctly formats the app views with the panel on the left and the content on the right. However, when selecting a chat and trying to type something the whole text entry field does nothing and typing does nothing.

If I add another app to the display, eg 50/50 split, it works fine to type. It also works fine in folded mode on the front display. So it's something to do with the way it formats the app for the full aspect ratio on the internal display I think.

Anyone else?

I too have this problem, though not just on my ZF4. Also on my S22 Ultra and the mrs work phone (Oppo) and her personal Samsung. Makes me think it's just the App.

I did at one point change the keyboard back from Gboard to the original keyboard and it seemed to fix the issue. Tested last minute on a Friday and haven't re tested.

That's weird that you have it on other devices that are normal aspect ratio. Makes me think your issue is different, as I have no issues on my S22 Ultra or iPhone, or even my Fold if the app is in candy bar mode. It's only a problem when it's using the full internal screen real-estate.

A teams update or oneui? I'm travelling at the moment so haven't been able to check yet.

Also just realised it only is a problem when my keyboard is floating like in the screenshot. If it's docked full size to the bottom of the screen it seems ok. Problem is a always use the floating keyboard, it's so much better for me.

Hey flip/fold owners, I have a near new S22 Ultra from Noel Leeming that I would love to swap for a Flip 4 if someone is wanting to go the other way!

The phone is 6 weeks old and 10/10.

Cheers

Anyone else have an issue where their Google Play system update isn't updating? Mine is stuck on November 2022, whereas the Android security patch level is on January 2023. I've checked the app version of Google Play Services and it's the latest version available - 22.50.14 (190400-499278674). This is my first time using a Samsung device in decades, so I'm not sure if this is normal - never had this issue on stock Android devices (a manual "check for updates" always fixed it).

It's the same on all my devices.

Totally normal not exclusive to Samsung my other OEM devices (if on Android 13) are the same

Google Play updates are independent from the OS updates.
