Got this through my letterbox today. The price quoted ($979 for 24mth, Smart80 plan) is more than $650 higher than the $319 price on the Vodafone web site now for the same plan ($199 for Smart 130)...and more then $450 more than I paid for mine ($519) on the same Smart80 plan back in July.

Meanwhile, the Apple iPhone gets the whole back page and is "free" (for $130 / month for 2 years).

Did an Android-fearing iPhone lover mess up the ad copy? :-)

Whatever.....it's a huge error and will put a lot of people off the only telco-offered Android phone on the market in NZ.

They'll be regretting that one.

Yeah noticed this in store today... Just one of those standard printing errors.

Ah well, us sales reps know the "real" prices. And it's what it says on the Vodafone Website. But to be honest, I still don't know how they mucked this one up.

Btw, anyone seen the Argumented Reality on the pages? It's pretty cool. Head over to http://vodafone.co.nz/3d and hold up the image tags to your webcam.
