Does anyone know if XT are likely to support the MMS system that the Android OS uses? Looking at the logs on my device, the issues appear to be related to the fact that the MMS system retrieves a capabilities file from a http server before handling incoming MMS messages, while Vodafone and 2Degrees appear to handle this just fine, XT doesn't seem to want to retrieve it and the javascript that  processes the whole show spits out an error and gives up. It's quite happy to let me _send_ MMS as it doesn't need the remote http call for that, just no receiving.

This combined by them apparently still not supporting 8-bit SMS properly seems a bit odd for a world-class network, assuming that these implementations do actually comply with standards.

Makes sense I guess, stops malicious binary texts from hijacking peoples phones. Means having to manually configure Ovi and the like which is a bit painful on some handsets.

It doesn't really make sence, it's a PITA!

Somebody was telling be 8 bit SMS's worked via the 2deg gateway but I've never tested this to confirm it.
