Shipito is similar, they let you complete the customs declaration though, so possible to avoid GST on arrival...

The only thing I've heard of happening for those who did have their parcels randomly checked was that they were made to pay the correct GST.

That's pretty much the case I believe.

Stock is due to be released on the 7th April, which I'm assuming will be the 8th for us in Kiwiland :D Counting down the days!! Not long now!!

Did they give a estimated delivery time?

Unfortunately not. They have yet to charge my credit card too. According to their terms and conditions, they will only charge my card once stock is available.

It's still listed as 7th April on their site, so fingers crossed they're on track, and once stock is available, hopefully they will let me know of an estimated delivery time! I hate all this waiting! :P

I requested Clove debit my credit card in advance so I could supply them with the required Authorisation Code.  I did this in the hope it would speed up the delivery process but who knows....

And they agreed? That's actually a really good idea, because I have NO IDEA what that authorisation code is.

Do I just call up my bank and ask for the authorisation code for that particular transaction? Lol.

Yup they agreed.  The authorisation code is a 6 digit number unique to that transaction that only your bank can see.  I had to get mine from Kiwibank which wasn't easy and I had to explain why I needed it.  Kiwibank were reluctant to tell me what it was which is strange but I guess it's a security thing, I convinced them in the end :-)

I have ordered as well from Clove.  They say on their website they won't be processing anything till the 7th so that will be, at the earliest, about this time tomorrow night...  Shipping times depend on what you chose, if you went DHL courier its 1-3 days international but might pay to build in a day or two slack to your expectations.  And yes for your authorisation code, just ring your bank's credit card call centre number to arrange.  Lets all check in as we get our shipment confirmations and deliveries :-)

Just got this email from Clove:

Dear Mr Wu,

Your Clove Order for an HTC Desire

We are pleased to say that the first stock of HTC Desire should arrive late afternoon on the 7th and begin shipping on the 8th April. We will be processing orders in date order.

We are told that within the first week we will receive enough stock to be able to fulfil all outstanding orders, which will ship over the next 4-10 days.

If any of this information changes we will contact you. If we need further information to complete your order we shall also contact you.

We are receiving a very large number of emails, telephone and tracker enquiries for information on orders for HTC Desire. At present the admin team are having to spend a huge amount of time dealing with these requests, which is affecting their ability to actually process the orders for shipping. Therefore, can we request that you please refrain from requesting such updates so we can ship your order as soon as possible. You will receive your tracking number by email on the day your order ships.

We do appreciate your business and understand you are very keen to get your HTC Desire. We are also very keen to ship them to you as soon as we can!

Please be assured if we need further information from you, we will contact you.

Please DO NOT REPLY to this email as it will not be responded to

The Clove Technology Sales Team.

WOOHOO!! :D

Not a good idea posting such things in a forum anyone can read. Even if you don't do it, you're providing reasonable cause for suspicion that you do.

More likely some child somewhere won't get their life-saving chemo due to funding cuts because you cheated on your taxes. :-)

It all depends on how one chooses to look at it.

In my experience, the government doesn't care what your view is in tax matters.
