The way I read it, they are shipping them on Friday, which they are just waking to in the UK now.  So, if some of us are lucky enough, we may get confirmation sometime over night as they will only notify you once they've assigned a tracking number etc (if your shipping option had one) and charged you accordingly.  I'm hoping I might catch the first wave but not too worried - gives me a bit longer to look forward to the delivery!  I'm sure any of us who do get a shipping notifiation will drop in to let us know :-)

RE the fequency bands  for 3G,  there is one of the best writeups for telecom 3g vs vodafone 3g and their associated fequency bands on the geekzone  blog list. htc desire (UK) AFAICR is 900/2100 ...matches with vodafone. the 900  really seems more important if you leave the city area.

So what happens? Clove take the 8gb card out and replace with a lower sized card ?
Hey ho  it'll keep me going till the 32 gb version arrives.. yep I went for that one rather than the faster class 10 16gb.
shame my nokia had the 8gb built in :(
anybody wanna n95 8gb version? :)

Haha upgrading to the Desire from an N95 8GB as well? :P

I'll most probably keep mine, as the N95 itself was a beast in its prime as well. Then again, I've kept every single phone I've ever had lol...
