You mean via bluethooth from laptop to phone?  It takes longer.

Oh!  You're having a dig and you're about to succumb to the same flashing ritual - haha!  I'm going backwards though, not forwards.

If you do give in to Darkyy's latest, please give a bit of a spiel on what you like/dislike.  I don't really know how it compares to Docs roms.  Cheers.

Off to clean the bath, maybe by the time I'm done you'll have flashed.  Thank goodness 3doz Christmas Mince Pies are cooked and the lawns mowed, it's 30deg here and stifling hot.  Do not want to be in the kitchen or outdoors.

Flashing sounds real good about now :P

It will have to be something really compelling for me want to upgrade (again).
5.5 has been rock solid. The phone has never felt so responsive and the battery is doing well despite me setting wifi to never sleep.

So I got my phone back yesterday, was a little worried it might come back with download and recovery disabled but all was good.

Running doc's latest slim rom now, very nice indeed. Tried using the stock 2.1 firmware and didn't last long.

Nice one, so we're almost a full house again of active/working SGS's.  Just Wipeout with his dodgy SD card still to go.

Why power the phone down to remove SD card Neets? Unmount it in settings, remove back cover, take card out, all good.

While I'm showing my lack of Geekiness, I've got question that will probably make you all roll your eyes and wonder how I could be so daft - either for not knowing, or for being so lazy and not researching it [you call yourself the self-appointed librarian :tsk:]

Anyway, when I flash a new ROM, and I tend to go back to JM9 or I guess I could now go JPU (stock ROMS) you end up with a phone that looks like it's out of the box.

I usually take the zip with all the add-ons and then delete those that I'm not interested in.

However, in the past I've taken a Titanium Backup with some of those same apps I really don't want.

When I go to do a restore apps & data the list shows a bunch of apps that are crossed out.  Clearly ones I've had in the past and have decided not to re-install.

What I really want is for my Titanium Backup not to list those apps at all.  I don't want them, I don't want to know I ever had them installed.

Is there something I'm overlooking?  Today I've deleted all the backups of those apps I don't want, and then deleted the app itself.  But the app still shows in the list struck out.

Does anyone have the answer, am I showing how dense I am?  Yeah.  Sorry about that ;-)
