BTW, unlike a lot of peeps, (*cough* Neets *cough* Laughing), I'm less of a ROM junky than just want a really good user experience. I do get a perverse kick out of the risks involved in the flashing process, though.

You need to take something for that cough before it turns into something nasty :P

I like a good user experience too.  Since moving to 2deg I've found my signal bars regularly dropping to nothing!

I'm on BUJP5.  Others out there on 2deg, what modem are you using? And are you happy with it.  If you're from Chch I'll be especially keen to hear from you. Admit to living in the furtherest NE suburb listed as having 2deg coverage in Christchurch.  But hopefully it's not that.  And moving is not an option ;-)

Ported over to 2deg yesterday.

Am running BUJP5, V9.8.1 (JS7) with speedmod K13C.
I'm about to update the kernel to K13D due to the wifi connection bug in K13C.

My signal strength on 2deg has put VF to shame (at home). SGS info tells me that my signal is 79 dBm 17 asu whatever that means.

Typical geek.

Ask him the lotto numbers for the rest of the year.

Okay, I have them. Since they're worth about NZ$40,000,000, I think it's only fair you send a token of good faith before I hand them over...

Say, US$50,000 deposited as follows:

Mr D Tooartu
Banque d'Scamateur
13 Rue de Bon Chance
Geneve 54 321
Suisse

A/C: 3515 8448 123 432 7896 00

I'll have the 'readies' to you within a fortnight of receipt of the token.

Cheers,
R2D2

PS: Know of any good 'teach yourself' books on Brazillian Portugese?

And by 'nasty', I'm anticipating a quiet chat from the Parklands Predators rugby league team forwards, whom you may have accidentally mentioned my er... "cough" to? Huh?

I'm unlikely to be home that weekend...

Cheers,

I'm using XXJQ1 Modem as that was the default for JS8. It's ok but I have texts fail to send sometimes although I have had that with virtually every modem. My signal strength is -101 dBm 6 asu with two bars showing. This is pretty good for my building as it's fully concrete and seems to kill reception

Does anyone know if BUJS1 is a newer version of BUJP5?

Been using BUJP5 for a couple of weeks, been happy with it, prior to that I was using JPY.

Oh, cool(runs to computer screaming) :P

Apparently there has been a few issues with the themes on 10.0, which is a pretty big let down. But maybe it's just because the themes in the kitchen are quite old, anyway apparently the black android theme is working on it.

I've been on version 10 for a week now :P

I ordered the Zaggsparq 2.0 yesterday.  I'm glad I waited another day, now they're throwing in a pair of ear buds free (Mother's Day offer - lucky they didn't ask if I was a mother ;-))

I know we've had the discussion several times about ear buds.  Not sure if these will fit my tiny ears, but here's the link - and since they're free, no real risk.

Here's the link for the free offer.  If you go straight to the Zaggsparq page and order, it doesn't automatically include the ear buds.  Seemed only to work if you ordered from this page.

I am trying to get the Darky kernel from http://www.darkyrom.com/apk/dark_voodoo_5.5.1_3.tar but it says link broken. Anyone know where else I might be able to get it?

Installed V 10.0 and running Black Android LE theme (doesn't have the clock in the notification bar..Frown), so far good. I used to run R64 theme and that was nice too.

I'm pretty sure there's a link to add back the clock to the notification bar.  Anyone hearing of "BAT" this is what fallen is using - Black Android Theme.  Pele (from Doc's thread) created the theme (with a bit of help from others).

I've been using it for about a month now.  Sometimes not having the clock bothers me, but I've got Widget Locker and one of my widgets is "digital clock" so it's all good.  The only time it catches me out is when I'm using my phone (Android chat) and there's nothing on screen to tell me what the time of day is.

Sorted, downloaded a update zip file to get the clock back on Smile
