Hi

Is navigon still available?

I installed Dark's ROM 10.2 FE (Android 2.3.4) and set market region to 50502, but I can't find free version of navigon on the android market.  There is mobile navigator for australia, but it's not free, it is about $80.

EDIT: Also tried 53001 and a reboot / clear data for the android market app .

Anyone have any success installing this lately?

I've also just downloaded GT-I9000HKTTNZ, which appears to contain the files as per  nzgman's post.  However, I have ended up with a file GT-I9000T_TNZ_1_20110714114531.zip.enc2 (about 178MB).  Why has it ended up with a .enc2 extension?  It does not therefore present as a valid zip file and I cannot unpack it.  Am I missing something?

I've had another go and it has now downloaded with just the .zip extension and unpacks fine - no idea what the .enc2 stuff was.  Didn't appear to be a partial download as it was exactly the same size as my latest attempt!  Anyway, has downloaded now so will give flashing it a try in the next few days.

Question: haven't used Odin before and it appears i should be using v1.7 for Galaxy S?  Any suggestions as to best place to download?

I used ODIN 1.85 and that worked fine, a google search should find it.

Thanks for that.  Have downloaded v1.85.  But..... I'm still a little uncertain about a couple of things.  Have looked extensively at various guides for flashing SGS with Odin but might need a little help. As you've done exactly what I need to do, you might be able to help this poor old man out!! Wink

I see lots of mention of entering CSC, MODEM and CODE files, but the GT-I9000.....zip file I downloaded only contained jv4_jv3_jv4.tar and SS_DL.dll (two files).  So how do I use Odin with the tar file, or has something gone wrong with my download? Also, do I need the .pit file that is mentioned or is that not required for the simple flash back to the stock TNZ rom?  As you can see, I'm struggling a bit.  Any chance of a step by step for an ignoramus? Or link to a process that reflects what I have to do - most of the ones I have found with Google don't seem to relate precisely?  Any help greatly appreciated.

Of course, having just posted that,I found another link that explains part of it at least.  Does this link looklike it provides the right process for me to follow?

Yeah, I'm trying to figure this out too, failed to flash back to telecom from Darkys 10.2, so went back to it :(
Only reason I went to a custom rom was for the games that required 2.2+, now telecom has released a later version >.<

Though if youre already on a telecom rom you shouldn't need the csc file etc? I'm not sure how it works so don't quote me on that!

Like nzgman, I am running the unofficial Telecom 2.2 and want to go back to stock so i can try the new 2.3.3 so you may be right about not needing the csc file etc but I would like to get confirmation before I embark on my first flash Smile

Just noticed the jv4_jv3_jv4.tar I downloaded doesn't have dbdata.rfs in it? (That was the error I was getting when I tried to flash it)

Do you guys have it?

Thanks nzgman- much appreciated.

Vzy - "in the .tar file"?  How do I find out?  I'm embarrassed to say that I have  a dbdata.db file floating around in the folder I have been using to downlaod relevant files for this exercise - but now I can't remember where it came from!

If you have winrar installed you can open it up in winrar and it'll have a list a files, boot.bin, cashe.rfs etc.

As for dbdata.db, that came from check fus downloader I think.

That explains the dbdata.db -makes sense!  OK - so downloaded winrarx64 and had a look at the .tar file.  Short answer, no dbdata.rfs.

nzgman - did you have the file?  If not did it cause any issues for you?

Cheers mate. Thought it may have screwed up while I downloaded it.

Just disabled the lagfix in recovery, then reflashed the telecom ROM again and seemed to work, finally! Haha.

Cool.  Think I'm just about ready to settle in and give it a go tomorrow or over the weekend then.  I'm sure I'll be back here if I have any issues!!

Cannot believe how easy that was Smile.  Took SIM and SD card out just to be on the safe side (varying reports of whether it is required); followed the instructions as per my previous link (although download mode buttons differ from that set of instructions obviously); and in less than 3 mins from clicking the "start" button, had TNZ 2.3.3 installed and running.  Just need to get my home screens setup again and will be away.  Then the trialling begins!

Thanks for the assistance.

In the about phone screen, does yours show own phone number? Mine says unknown.
