Has anyone got some advice on calendars?

I want to use six separate calendars I have setup on Microsoft outlook 2010 at work. Idealy they would sync directly to the phone and then sync to my home computer as well. On first trials of this, data was lost and calendars were made into one. Is the best way forward to use google calendars(talks to phone nice), windows live calendars(talks to outlook nice), or continue trying to get the direct sync from outlook on two computers and the phone?

I'd go for Google calender myself, but I can't really speak to whether the other options are better for your use.

RE: Widgetlocker - I keep recommending it also. Just realise I'm right people and install it on your phones already (with No Lock) :)

the JI6 update for Vibrant is not Froyo, they are not due to get it till 2011

Ah yes u rite, my bad Embarassed just looked at it a bit more indepth and it runs on 2.1 although there are some who have hacked the beta version of Froyo and stuck in the JI6 kernel.

Could you see how Windows Live works with Jorte?  That's a calendar application.  Way better than the standard calendar that comes stock with the phone.  Jorte allows you to pick and choose which calendars you want displayed.  It might be possible to pick some from Google, and some from Windows Live.  Probably worth checking, if nothing else, to dismiss the possibility.

My battery life has been crap the past week. Having to charge twice a day now. I'm thinking either my battery is on it's way out or maybe time to erase and start clean with a new rom.

Any thoughts on which rom offers the best battery life at the moment? I'm still on JF3 + OCLF v1.

There are also other battery saving tips.

Decrease screen brightness or use auto brightness
Use 2G data instead of 3G
Turn off wifi or use y5 battery saver (i havnt tried this yet)
Underclock / Undervolt the cpu
Change screen timeout
Change auto sync settings
Uninstall widgets that are not being used on your home screens

Thanks, I've already followed most of those tips - battery was good when I got the phone and I've not really installed many extra apps. I'll try reflash the rom and see what happens.

maybe do the battery reset trick with full discharge then full charge and not use the phone for a while. Also, just before you recharge your phone have a look at the battery useage stats, personally I find it's all used by the display (~40%) and the rest is phone or phone idle. android os is usually about 2%.

I've never had anything use more power than the display either your display useage is a lot lower than me or your standby useage is unacceptable high. maybe poor reception zone?

I'm having trouble understanding the point of both.  Can you explain why you'd still use No Lock (which I use BTW).

It seems to me that the screen locks and you can place widgets directly on it, so regardless of the screen being locked you've still got full functionality of those widgets placed on it.  I'm not seeing the the benefit of using No Lock with it.  No Lock means when the screen times out, the screen goes black, press Home and you're back to the screen, no need to swipe to unlock the screen.

I know I must be missing something. Cheers.
