I think it is a lot better than the inbuilt folder function

1. You can add labels to easily add a new app accross mutlifolders (faster than with inbuild folders) and manage all your folders on the one screen
2. Folders can have custom icons
3. You can favourite apps then use the toggle fav button to quickly switch between display all apps in folder or just the fav apps in folder. (this is the best feature)

If you want even more features check out folder organiser from the same developer, it's also free but had some additional features that let you add labels to contacts and bookmarks so you can have those inside ur folders too. I'm not sure that folder organizer let's you add fav stars to the apps though.

kiwijunglist: I don't think it's really worth paying for launcher pro, the free version does a lot.  The alternative to L.Pro is ADW Launcher, also free.

Agreed. The functional increment for Pro isn't great. But the WHOLE app is easily worth US$2.99 to me...so I pay up. I see it as showing respect for the dev who wrote it. :-)

If I like the app, I usually pay....even if it's a donation. The amount of money is usually trivial. I can't buy lunch for what most of these apps cost.

I want people to be motivated to write more and better apps....and money helps.

aim: Launcherpro is the only app I've bought so far. What does that tell you? :P

Oh dear. :-)

I have 4 gmail accounts across a range of devices, each with its own set of purchased apps. The core paid apps for me are: Better Terminal Emulator Pro and Root Explorer. I've bought a copy for each device. The devs deserve it. This is excellent software for cheap.

My main phone must have at least 50 paid apps on it (out of 112 at the mo')....plus another 50-100 I've bought, but don't use (right now - many themes for Open Home and GDE Home, for example, at US$0.99 each).

I've easily spent over $1,000 on apps in the past 15 months.

I don't usually pay more than US$15 for an app, but up to that price, I don't usually give it a second thought if I see sufficient value there.

Hey I've only owned a device capable of using paid apps for a week! :P And I just bought switcher pro too! I'm a student, my disposable income is just over $20 a week, and usually that goes into my car :P

I know I look kinda hypocritical because I bought such an expensive phone, but my work did fund much of it :P

I was probably hearing an echo in my head of the people who have been running android for agess and brag they have never bought any apps.

My bad.

I must say how easy it is to buy apps... It's quite scary haha.

I'm considering only buying apps that freely give away and only ask for donations. It's the type of app I'd like to encourage :P

Just go to launcherpro.com and download from there

Search "launcherpro" without the space =)

or search for "barcode scanner" on the market and download the version made by ZXing Team.

Then visit www.appbrain.com, when ever you see an app you want to download use the barcode scanner to scan the QR code on the website, and it will automatically install the app you want.

when u press home key it should say "Which application do you want to run the home screen, or something like that I you can choose between Launcherpro or your default launcher eg. TwLauncher or HTCSense etc..."

You can choose the default home launcher under settings, or you can download "Home Switcher" which lets you easily alternate the launcher.

you can also try restart ur phone, if that doesn't work -> uninstall -> restart -> reinstall.

I just tried to purchase paid version of Launcher-Pro and after PayPal had taken the money it said it could not transfer me to the sellers site. Looks as if his site may be off the air?
Not sure what I do now
