It's worked on Vista for me...and I think on WinServer 2k8 64-bit. ....I don't have Windows 7.

If you are doing what I did when i got it, i think you need to go into the phone's menu and 'mount' it. I think you can access this menu through the notification bar where it should have a comment about the USB connection.

I think...not 100% tho

Edit: Worked fine for me on Win7 x86

Yeah, looks like a excellent phone. My only question is, does it work on 2 Degrees? I know most vodafone phones do, but I reckon that 2 degrees have got my best deal. Please tell me.

Mine is on 2Degrees. You get good data pricing in the four main centres (Ak, Wn, Ch, Dn). I get the $20 / 1GB option. But outside 2Degrees data coverage area - ie: everywhere else - you have to buy $6 / 50MB "National data packs" (30 days, use it or lose it - buy another one if you need more)...which are actually Vodafone being wholesaled to you via 2D, IIRC.

The $20/1GB option doesn't apply in Dunedin. It's Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown.

i wouldn't say it's horrible, here's a picture i took just now https://i.imgur.com/c3xp6.jpg
to upload photos, you can use different methods, you can share a folder on your pc and copy it there through wireless, you can send it by email to yourself, you can use dropbox, you can connect the phone to the pc through USB and copy it of the SD, there's a few ways to do it :)

for that picture I used the imgur app which lets me upload it straight to imgur, easy as.

I've never had a good cellphone so that's the best I've ever had on a phone. It takes acceptable photos when the light is soft, evening. Terrible when it's sunny.
But again, it's so convenient to upload stuff on facebook that I can't be bother getting the good camera most of the time, if it's just for facebook.
Another limitation with this phone camera is that it struggles focusing close up objects so the barcode scanner doesn't work for me (that's what you can use to link to an app on the market).

SD cars is useful but unfortunately with 2.1 you can't install apps and run them from it so imho that's the biggest limitation.
Otherwise I'm happy, it's my first smartphone, so cheap, it's worth every penny.
I'm starting to develop apps too
