Hi There!

I am looking for something in the Diamond Touch/2/ Galaxy 580 phone form factor, but with more processing power. Can anyone recommend anything?

Actually they say it will be $3-400ish which is bloody cheap based on the specifications.  It also runs vanilla froyo.

I wouldn't touch the Defy with a bargepole The specs look great and the style is good . . . . . but the design fault with the earpieces/headphone plug is leading to a hell of a lot of complaints and premature failures.

Do a google search on it and you'll see what I mean.

Have you looked at the LG optimus one P500?

It's got a 600mhz processor which isn't super fast but it seems to perform well at $399 at DSE it's a good deal.

i have used my defy extensively for the last 2-3 months. no issue so far. i use supplied headphones when listening to music and radio. one of my friends bought defy after playing with it. She has 32GB micro sd with thousands of songs in it. she is so far quite happy with the purchase. please be aware that no electronic products is 100% perfect (look at iphone antennagate, nexus one failure, screen discoloration etc).

if you are planning to buy motorola phones, clove.co.uk is a good choice because they are motorola authorized partner/reseller. they also known to have excellent after sales service.

Desire & Defy are close to the same size, S8500 is smaller, cheaper and has S-Amyloid display

Desire 119 x 60 x 11.9 mm 84,900 mm3
Defy 107 x 59 x 13.4 mm = 84,600 mm3
S8500 118 x 56 x 10.9 mm = 72,000 mm3

SonyEriccson x10 mini is small, but not sure what version of android it's upgradable too and it's only 600Mhz
