Neets: Mine left Auckland yesterday just after 6pm. Surely I'll have it in my hot little hand by lunch time. Though there's been no further tracking update. Got to remember to take my SGS charger or an adapter. Pretty excited :D

cokeman2: received my sgs 2 from tech brands today even gave me a free adapter :) ...now lets have fun with the toy .........

Argh! It's like virtual taunting... I'm still waiting for my phone! :(
Not your fault of course, just poor communication on the part of the seller. They said I'd have it by the end of the week and when I asked them 'So, Friday?' they replied 'Yes.' Except it's Friday, and there is notification of shipping email, and the details on their site hasn't updated.

Bah.

Hi guys,

I have a package coming from overseas and it might get stopped by Customs for GST etc. Its coming via Fedex.

What method/phone numbers/etc did you find best in paying for it and getting it released from Customs ASAP?

Cheers!

My original GS (last year) came by courier and somehow they had my phone number (supplier Clove UK must have put it on the package). The courier company (can't remember if it was FedEx or DHL) rang me out of the blue, asked if I wanted to pay GST by credit card, and it was done. Had the phone the next day.

Recently with my GSII I went with Royal Mail/Airsure and it was a verrrry different story.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Similar experience as eracode. Mine came from Unlocked mobile in the UK via UPS. They called on Wednesday and requested payment for GST. The phone was still in Singapore. The phone arrived in Auckland Thursday 6pm and delivered just after 11am yesterday. No hold ups waiting for payment after it arrived in the county. Good service in my opinion.

Wife won't let me get mine until the end of June (just came back from overseas trip) :-(, just my wishful thinking but maybe the 32GB version is available then?

So what's the bet that Telecom's price in August will be $999 , the same as the SGS1 was until yesterday..

Most likely, but like the SGS1 they will get it 2/3 months after Vodafone and therefore that price will be justified.

Great now the HTC Sensation is buyable in NZ. Makes the decision even harder.

The SGS2 has quad-band 3G so it'll work on XT, Vodafone and 2degrees just fine.

I think Oldeyes was refering to the HTC Sensation. I said it makes the decision harder (at least for me) and so thats why he said not if you want to use it on XT.

I could be wrong though.
